Shipment Courier Experience

Hey guys which of the following courier delivery systems have you had the best experience with (if it applies to your area)? And what's your experience with them?

Personally I've had bad experience with all four as they always do the same thing which is knock on the door and drop it right in the open. =_=

Also is a "safe drop" even legit because every single time they do a "safe drop" as stated before, it is always in front of my door (which doesn't have a porch).

Today I had a laptop delivered to me by UPS and it was left in front of my door *sigh* I always try to stay home on the day of delivery but because of school and work usually I have a family member try to get it for me.

Btw I know that it's usually up to the individual deliverer on where your package ends up unless they are given special delivery directions.

Burning

I have a potted tree by my door, placed about 18 inches from the house wall. Almost every driver from UPS and FedEx has left packages between the large pot and the house, out of sight from the street. Their drivers are instructed to seek places to obscure delivered packages.

The carriers that don't do that are USPS and OnTrac. The latter is garbage though they have yet to lose one of my Amazon packages. The former I feel is because the USPS lady is comfortable doing that with the assumption that there are no package thieves in the area.

Can't give relevant feedback on Canadian couriers.

I live in the US and even I think Canada Post is the best one.

UPS is and will always be poop. Canada Post is fine. We have a post office box if no one is home to collect packages and stuff, so it gets sent there instead.
Don't know about the other two, dood.

All four apply to my area cause I'm from Toronto but I guess I'd say the same. Usually in most cases my package is never given directly to me. I don't like the idea of safe drop or in some courier companies "handing a package to a neighbour because some people like me might not even be on friendly terms with neighbours and by this I mean I've never spoken with them. But overall I guess I'd say Purolator has been the best I've received service from.
