Why would it matter if these were on the poles? It changes NOTHING! Even if EVERY LAST MEGA was on the poles, heck, even if every last Pokemon was on the poles, even if every last Pokemon in every last form, Forme, Mega Evolution, appearance, or shininess that that has or WILL EVER exist was on the poles, Mega Charizard X would STILL be the best! Why? First, he has the most badass design. Second, he was used by Legendary Trainer Red in Pokemon Origins, (darn you Gold Silver Crystal Heart gold, Soul silver, and even Black 2 and White 2 for misrepresenting Red's Trainer Class as Pokemon Trainer. I hope that was because of the character limit, that way, if he ever shows up again in a game newer than X/Y, they can call him Legendary Trainer Red, instead of Pokemon Trainer Red) Red is THE most badass out of ALL human characters in the series, statistically proven by Psypoke's GPCT back in 2010. A Pokemon which is at least in the Top 50 most badass Pokemon in ANY of his forms, is already easily at the very least the SECOND most badass of all in this form, that Pokemon whose badassery is almost unfathomable as it is goes and gets itself used by the most badass character ever, and despite being practically unfathomable, almost immeasurable, goes and gets at LEAST 50 times more badass because of it. The only reason Charizard X's badassery would've been at ALL measurable if it HADN'T been used by Red in ANY MEDIA, was because it could be measured AGAINST what would've been #1, but of course you wouldn't be able to measure it in metric units even if there WAS a unit for measuring badassery, since it would be beyond measure. However, BECAUSE it is used by Red, there is ABSOLUTELY no way to measure it, because it became so badass that nothing else can even BEGIN to compare, and since the only way to measure something so large would've been by COMPARISON, that leaves his badassery with no POSSIBLE method of being measured.

Even if his design isn't the best, (looking at you @skyenets) The sheer badassery that is born from the combination of the badassery of his design and the badassery of having been used by Legendary Trainer Red, makes up for the difference in design quality of even the Pokemon with the BEST design, ONE MILLIONFOLD

Not mentioned at all here, but i am loving my mega scizor. Managed to breed a few adamant scythers with technician and traded one for a scizor with the same.

Appearance wise, I think Mega Absol takes it for me. Wings was really all he needed to be the coolest looking pokemon in the game.

I think mega gyarados is the coolest looking~ then mega aerodactyl~ :> and then mega banette because I am severely biased.
Some of the designs are kind of lazy, but that's not bad. Mega ampharos is now fluffy again like it's unevolved forms!

@ulllll: I got mine from GTS after breeding for some days (failing ofcourse...) and checking it after midnight. Most nice deals aren't during the day I'd say XD

Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and Mega Alakazam. Out of those 4 options then Charizard X.
a little off topic, but how to get shiny charizard within a time frame that doesn't want me to throw the 3ds out the window? o.o"
Good question... I'd say be lucky and find a idiot on GTS who doesn't realize how rare they are... Other than that... There's breeding and friend safari...
@Skyenets: Ya idk why they did that to X's wings either... I can understand some battle tears, but the way his wings are in X make it actually impossible for him to fly lol. BUUUUUT they DID take away his Flying type and replaced it with Dragon so I guess it makes sense.

I still dont like it tho.

But I do think X has a lot of differences from regular. His skin color is (obviously) different. He has a (sort of) flame mustache that flies from his mouth to his back. He has blue fire "spikes" on his shoulders. The fire on his tail is blue. His wings have a spike on the top middle. And lastly, his wings are all torn up.

I think X has more obvious differences than Y does. The color changes, fire from the mouth, torn wings and shoulder spikes really stand out, where as nothing from Y really pops. Although I'll admit, after studying Y for a bit, it does have near the same amount of differences from the regular as X does. They just don't really stand out as much as X does.
Personally I'd say that X would have been perfect if it had Y's wings. Other than that, I'm kind of 50/50 on the topic. In the end, it's just all a matter of opinion.
Charizard Y is boring. Doesnt look much different than a regular Charizard. Slightly jagged tail, an additional horn on its head, ugly fins on its arms and larger wings. Thats it.
Wouldn't say that purely because it lacks complexity and diversity it's a bad design. Simpler designs are usually superior. X doesn't really look that different either if you think away the colour.

Though truth be told, if they hadn't messed up X's wings I would have probably said X as well.

I'd have to say that design wise they did the best job with Charizard Y. Charizard X seems to appeal mostly to those who want something badass, but design wise I wouldn't call him superior. It's a close one though.

I let out a laugh when I first saw Mega Blastoise in the trailer. He has 3 cannons, but thanks to the standard attack animations, the hydro pump seems to come out of its mouth. So, all those cannons... none of them used.

Mega Ampharos looks like a fabulous model. xD I am kind of happy because I remember how sad I was when my Flaaffy evolved and became hairless in Pokemon Silver.

Mega Mawile, Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Garchomp, and Mega Gengar are the best IMO.
