Research Project Stem Cells

Are you for or against? I'm honestly stuck in the middle cause I'm not pro-choice tbh.
I am totally against it. The reason is one word: evolution.
Sick people deserve to die or else their sick genes will get passed on to the next generation !
Also, the Earth is overcrowding, so some people have to die. The increase of human lifespan will destroy the Earth, therefore medical advancement is evil.
Lets talk hypotheticly here, and let's say that stem cell research has lead to the ability to regrow lost limbs.
If a man looses a leg through a work accident that is not natures wish, that is something forced upon him. Does he not deserve the chance to regrow his leg, if the option exists?
Yes the earth is overcrowding, but we are also overconsuming. The problem is not how many people live on this planet, the problem is how people live on this planet. Americans consume ALOT more than they should. If everyone lived as them our planet would be dead within a few years.

@metaghost4:
More to the point that people seem to think that fetuses need to die for stem cells to be harvested, which is far from reality.

For it. Many things can be solved with it

Were almost at the point where we can take skin cells, convert/revert them to stem cells and then use them however we like.

For it.

I don't think people realize how stem cells are harvested.
there's no need to kill babies for it, you can get stem cells from adults.

not going after those is just stupid.

I can understand the arguments against taking them from embryos at least, but not taking them from adults has absolutely no reason imo.
They do not kill babies to procure stem cells.
Stem cells are procured from the cord connecting the fetus to the mother. I am not that into the subject but i think i've also read that they can procure stem cells from aborted fetus's. The fetus's are not aborted for the sake of getting stem cells. The fetus's are being aborted for other reasons. Perhaps the mother isn't ready, perhaps the mother doesn't feel that she can care for a child, perhaps the father isn't ready. There can be a million reasons.
Also incase anyone is wondering, i have no problems whatsoever with abortion. I do not believe in any form of religion and my interest in these subjects lie in the benefits they can provide for us.
Stem cell research might one day help people grow back limbs.

For it. From my limited understanding, don't they use the cells from an abortion? What other use would we have for an aborted fetus?

For
You can get stem cells from other parts of the adult human body, but it's more difficult

If it helps people, who cares about morals?
