@Rimkii: @Samygxz85: I can confirm that at least Hard-mode Gollux drops more than 2 coins. They appear on your screen as 2 coins but if you loot them they are bundles of coins.

However, if you're going in as a party and you're not the looter you only reveive 2 coins. The looter will receive the full amount.

@ryuushinou: it only gives 2 coins. if u got more they were from the quest. i honestly think that its no way near to being reasonable and hope this is just a glitch cuz if not i'll be seriously mad.

You could always just spend tons of nx and use those return scrolls for chaos.

@ryuushinou I'm fully aware you cannot buy pendants and belts in the shop hence why i said "drops" f7, but I chose to stride for the superior earrings and ring. I do agree that they needed to put a stop to farming, but putting only 2 coins in (i'm saying 2 because i have NEVER seen over 2 drop) drags out the process of getting anything out of the shop SO much longer and kind of discourages people imo. Because let's say you are going for superiors or even solids which means you need 130-160 coins EACH depending on which set; now save up 160 coins by getting only 2-3 coins per day and only being allowed to kill him once per day. Typically if you were motivated enough you could get 160 coins in roughly 4 hours. Now it's more of a matter of several weeks or months to get one item.

Like i said, If they had made it where you could kill gollux once a day buy drop 5-10 coins each time, it would cut down on repetitive abusing farming, and still encourage players to keep earning the coins. And i'm totally fine with items being buyable only once because it is too good to be true. I believe it could've been handled in a more reasonable manner.

A shop that doesn't reset and a head that drops multiple coins as a bundle(appears as 2 coins but it's actually more).

I honestly think it's a reasonable move by Nexon and it was too good to be true to be able to farm coins just like that. (Reminds me of the first witch coin event that dropped from newts)

@above: You cannot buy belts and pendants from the coin shop anyway... Also the low-tier gollux equipment aren't too bad either and like I said you get more than 2 coins from defeating the head. It's not as chaotic as you think.

except the thing is, that only hellmode drops the belts or pendants even then it's pretty rare and hellmode is actually kinda difficult. It's no Magnus by any means but it's still pretty hard. we are talking solely coin drops which you can buy decent items IN GAME which is a step in the right direction especially after their low move of removing drops from empress calling it a "glitch" and then moving them over to making them a CS item <-THAT is wrong and they know it.

I'd be ok with them making it where you can't repeatedly farm like limit once a day and drop 10 coins or something, but nerfing the hell outta the coin drop to where you get 2 coins from only the head and killing him once a day is practically sadistic. </3

No, it's intentional. Bosses aren't supposed to drop good items that you can farm.

Normally i'd file this under another whine rant, but seeing as this is now* true i do have to agree. i'm not very funded so killing the head for me was already difficult but now getting coins ONLY from head is proving getting coins more frustrating than it was before; so i really have to side with shadow on this one. I don't mind working for things, but this is just painstakingly grueling and feels 100x worse than doing the shadow merchant quests for coins to get nova equips (currently doing also).

Yet why do i get the feeling that the gollux equips will just "conveniently" show up in a CS box?

Well looks like I'll never get my items from Gollux then.

That's because they achieved it prior to today's maintenance. After today's maintenance, only head drops Gollux coins.

@1kevqn There's a difference between "work for it" and overkill time consuming. Getting the superior earring and ring costs 310 coins total. You get 1-2 coins from the head. Assuming you get 2 coins every time that's over 5 months (155 days) of logging in every single day to kill gollux, plus another 2-3 weeks for one scroll. And then you can't buy them again. Yeah... that's totally what people want to do.

work for it as in doing the pre quests wich take 4hours+ on each char and being able to buy 1 scroll only after 10 days of killing gollux
considering the ring has 8 slots and t he scrolls are 60%s i need like 12 scroll iam guessing so that's 48 hours just doing pre quests other than killing gollux on 12 characters daily
they should at leas remove the limit of buying scrolls now since it's harder to get coins

you don't have to do anything, you want to do it and if you want those results put in the work
