Internet Problemo

I moved my router and cable modem into a different room and now my internet isn't working properly. The yellow triangle with an exclamation point shows up. It was working fine last night from its initial position but ever since the move, it isnt working. Is there a common problem to occur? do i need to reset anything? IDK WHAT TO DO, I CANNOT BE ALONE WITH MY THOUGHTS. I NEED INTERNET. btw im using a hotspot for typing this. boop boop.

@Ninjasaur I'm guessing you're using a laptop..?
If you take the laptop in right next to the router does it work then..?

Also, do you know what kind of Internet service you have..?
Is it DSL which connects to a phone jack on the wall, or Cable broadband which connects to a fat cable TV type cable..?
The DSL cable looks like this: http://www.jebcable.com/upload/product/big/1241514283.png
The Cable TV cable looks like this: http://0.tqn.com/d/dvr/1/S/d/2/coaxial-cable-connectors.jpg

If you look on the bottom of the router it should tell you the brand name and model number. What are those..?

I remember my sibling messed with the cables once. Somehow, the wireless internet connection setting got reset (meaning, the ssid and password reverted to the default values), and i had to go in the settings page and set everything up again.

The router isn't receiving an Internet connection. If your modem connects to the internet through a coaxial or rj11 (although that may just be fore dial-up) output in the walls, then maybe it isn't setup for your connection. If I connected my modem to the master bedroom, it wouldn't worked because it isn't wired that way. Idk if this is typical or if the guy that connected my internet was super lazy or something.
Try unplugging and plugging everything back in the same room. If it still doesn't work, try connecting your modem and router to the previous working spot. That should tell you if the problem is from the plug in the wall.
