Whats so good about BattleRoids?

I did a quick Google search targeting BasilMarket threads for any such topic but couldn't find an answer.

They sell for a lot. I'd understand that if they functioned per their description, but according to this blog...

https://maplestoryandroids.wordpress.com/

"Battleroid coupon descriptions are currently inccorect. The coupons state: Prevents EXP loss AND restores HP to max while maintaining current buffs when you revive on the current map. However, Battleroids do not have the exp loss-prevention feature, nor do they restore your HP upon revival. Customer Support says this is a typo and that Battleroids are only supposed to contain the buff freezer effect. This issue has also been passed on to the relevant people, but they are yet to do anything about it.

"Please be mindful of Battleroid’s actual functions when purchasing this android."

So if it doesn't prevent exp loss and if it doesn't recover HP, is it just that people value buff-freezing that much? Or is the blog outdated and has Nexon reworked the androids and their features?

Thanks

you pretty much never have to buy another buff freezer again and it's amazing <3

for players who do a lot of bossing battleroids are amazingly handy, yes you can buy buff freezers from the shop but for somebody who uses things like green pots and HS mule while doing things like hard magnus its nice being able to die as many times as you want waiting for the 15min timer and not have to worry about how many freezers you used not to mention the fact there's less menus to click through when you die asking if you'd like to use freezers making fights like chaos velum more streamline. Having a shop to clean your inventory out when in FM is also a nice perk

So yeah they're not something everyone needs but its a convenience item that makes players who do daily to weekly bossing a lot easier.

Only used for buff freezer. The full hp / prevent lost exp don't work and I am not sure if it's only a typo on the android itself.

I go through Buff Freezers like copy paper. The daily 3 aren't enough, and once I start up doing Oz runs again, I'll be burning through them even faster.

So I bought a Battleroid.

@oddish @wall : Interesting. expected a fully functioning item to have faults coming from nexon.

pretty much exactly what Wall said, the exp loss function (which is stated on the coupon not the actual android) does not work, the main draw to it is the buff freezer I suppose even though they're sold by Matilda for 1 mil a piece.
Personally I see it more as a luxury for those who can afford its convenience, definitely not a necessity, don't really care about its appearance.
most people just buy it for the 'i'm a rich kid' factor I assume, much like the LGR .. lol

@oddish: Just imagine, you're about to solo C.Vellum. You apply your guild skills, guild blessing, buff potions, Decent Sharp Eyes, Speed Infusion, Echo of Hero and all your class buffs--everything to help the run go smoother. You might get other people to buff you too. Then you die. Suddenly there aren't as many buffs on the top right corner. You have lost them all. You feel naked.

@caeg
I didn't consider that at all. Fair point. TY!

@sadvirgin
They have given out free or practically free Orchiroids with shop functions too, so I'm just trying to determine if the addition of buff-freezing is really that valuable. I guess so, eh? Thanks for the input.

@mybuliets
That's the thing, I don't think it does prevent exp loss or that it offers HP recovery. I wrote that in the OP. I'd totally understand the price if it did that, but it doesn't double as a safety charm unless that blog is wrong.

@Caeg: Incorrect. Any rank 9 android can use an outlaw heart.
Battleroids prevent the player to lose EXP and when they die, they will spawn with full HP with all buffs intact.
This saves time for people who are bossers and grinding to 250 alot.
Seems people have alot of money to spend for perm buff freezers and safety charm androids.

Buff freezer and shop function. Worth a lot.

Cause they can use the fancy heartss that can be psoked. Nothing's more romantic then using scissors on your heart then selling it for money.
