Confused and need advice

Recently, I have begun to question my gender identity. I have experimented with being androgynous the past few months and have begun to consider hormone therapy. I feel a little nervous talking about this though. What should I do and why?

Explore local group meet-ups, and maybe see a psych... BE AWARE THOUGH, a lot of groups and psychs out there are older, a lot older, than you. And are exactly who the insulting stereotypes are describing, or exactly who the psych is going to see if you are before they tell you you are/aren't Trans.

The whole "heteronormative" idea that you're supposed to be some 50s housewife who's been crossdressing since three years old or you aren't actually trans is pervasive among the older generations.

There are shining beacons of hope, sites and groups and psychs that are very open minded and are primarily there to help you. Just be aware that not all of them may be even on the same page as you enough to be able to. The ones that are will usually be closer to your age.

People can help, but this really is something you have to figure out for yourself. That you yourself have to be responsible for.

There is going to be a lot of questioning, and for me there was a lot of doubt for a long time, but all you can do is explore and experiment.
