it's if you use a skill too many times namely one-hundered. i don't even know if it applies for lamancha but seeing as each skill use lasts like 8 seconds, you should be able to do it for a while.
also, it doesn't not monsters. it just doesn't do anything. which is the same outcome, i guess, but not the immediate effect
Yeah a Shade in my PQ tried that, but it didn't work out for him. (My Dual Blade failed as well) Either Lamancha ignores the holddown thing, or my 100% stance has something to do with it.

@marioluigi52 I also thought that with Lamancha it does another attack after about 8 seconds and you have to press the key again.
