I am somehow glad there is no revamp yet
As I started my gunslinger, (currently level 60) I am enjoying the class for sure.
It is one of the classes that has not been touched by Nexon since it was released.
Although when the pirate class came out, I was annoyed that they were making new classes, I am glad that they have kept the original unflashy skills of the pirates.
Looking at invisible shot's lame animation makes me happy, and the fail mobility reminds me of the times when people scrolled for jump and speed.
While I have experienced the thief revamp with my Shadower, it really is not as fun. It is not the skills that I trained with, and not the skills I grew up with.
I guess this will enrage the old corsairs for sure, but this is only an opinion.
The pirate class was the start of the Nexon's greed and move towards mass class production, but it is now the last bastion where Nexon's greed has not affected a class.
Although I must admit, training is slow even at Jesters.

This revamps has its ups and downs, but it's what to be expected. I started playing maple about a month before pirates came out and I loved the idea. Tons of other games have warriors and mages ect. But I never heard of a pirate class before. I immediately jumped at the chance to make a pirate, and I feel in love with it! I just loved the whole gameplay of pirates. As time went on, maple started to reveal stronger classes, classes that had amazing mobility ect. My bucc was weak compared to these new classes, and it kinda made me said. I took a break from my bucc, but no matter what class I played, my bucc just seamed like the better class. I always loved my bucc because it was fun! Not because It was Over powered or had amazing bossing skills, but because it was fun. Now with this revamp, everyone wants to make one because they're stronger, not because of the fun fighting style. Now I don't wanna sound hipster saying I played this class before it was cool or anything, I'm just saying I liked my bucc the way it is. But don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to the revamp, but I just hope the special fighting style of the buccaneer dosen't get lost in the way.
@ClericBoyZ15: Because though I like change, playing other classes, I also like having my corsair, which has remained relatively unchanged for years, to come back to and with this revamp that is no longer going to be an option.

Pirates have been revamped here and there, but they weren't major revamps. just a small boost to some skills.
Buccaneers:
-Dragon Strike was not always spammable, but now it is. The % damage of Dragon Strike was increased during the Chaos Patch.
-Energy Charge used to be Lv 40 at max level, now it's Lv 20. (Thank god)
-Barrage was nerfed/changed. It used to deal to weak hits, 2 normal hits, and 2 really strong hits.
-Super Transform and Transform's cooldown time was decreased.
-Pirate's Revenge and Roll of the Dice was not always there.
I don't know anything about Corsairs
OT: We really do need that revamp to be on par with other classes.
I remember using ssk at cpq because otherwise I would whack the trojans
I remember picking things up on henesys roof that people would drop there
I remember sniping newties from level 75-120
I remember having level 1 ship and it breaking all the time

At first when I heard about the revamp, I was sad that the boats were going to disappear but after a while, I stopped caring because of the fact that whenever I trained at lhc/sh, half my party lagged so I couldn't use my boat anyways ._. (Now that I'm 200 it doesn't matter anymore but still...)
Im not happy theres no revamp... i lag ppl when using ship... so i have to use rapid fire (not too bad)... but quests r glitched for me such as hero's will (wont let me into the dimension because it thinks im not 4th job)... I cant get soaring skill for the dragon pq (i want them dam boss cards)... and i d/c when i use wings-_____- its such a burden being one right now.
Pirates are not liked by anyone, can't wait to see people's faces after the revamp.

Their gameplay didn't change that much and they didn't have much skills that made much impact unlike Pirate's Revenge and Dice.

It doesn't matter much anyway because half of the current Corsair skills are just bad atm. I hated getting to 158 and having no good skills to put points in
Yah.. my corsair has like wat 2 buffs? while i see every other class have 3+... I've been waiting for this revamp to boost my dmg tremendously... i can only hit 200k with my funding... and when i put like half of my equips on my jett it hits 100ks at 120 its SO SAD!

Pirates had a minor revamp, gunslinger's Double Shot was was drastically increased and Grenade got its DoT effect. Very very minor for slingers, pretty huge for Marauders since our EC went from 40 max level [highest max level in the game] down to 20, among many other things. Besides the Explorer rebalance patch, we are the same.

I was also uber excited when Pirates were announced.
I had never thought Maplestory would have more classes than the Thieves, Mages, Warriors, and Bowmen.
At the time, I was a Hunter, and I decided to make a brawler since I didn't have a melee character.
All my other friends were excited too, though most of them made slingers. Training at FOG together was so great.
It's nice to be the only class that has no party buffs.
I remember being sooo excited for the new release of the pirate class that I made a pre pirate(level 10 beginner to instantly become a pirate when they were released) and this bucc of mine was that level 10 beginner. Always loved the pirate class, and never felt so unwilling to play as a pirate until recent times. It really sucks seeing what nexon is doing to us pirates right now with this insane waiting game that its making me give up my exciting feelings for a revamp =/

Actually, this is the [b]only[/b] class that hasn't went through a single revamp, now as i think about it.
