EoE and episodes 25-26 happen in the same time frame, with most of EoE taking place and then 25-26 happening while Shinji contemplates whether to let the Third Impact happen, followed by the end of EoE.

Isn't the real ending shown through end of evangelion. There's no point of ripping on the last episodes, although I thought it was really funny in the end with all the omedetou's.

The series was great until the final two episodes, where it went all high concept religious psycho-babble.

As for the movies airing. First one is good, second one is amazing~

the Eva backlash is as weak as the praise for it tbh
the show wasn't "trying to be smart" it was trying to pay homage to go nagai and other old robot shows while also exploring mental illness. the symbolism in the show was thrown in for aesthetic appeal rather than having any religious significance. ultimately it's an interesting and unique anime and an important mark in anime history. that doesn't mean it isn't fraught with budget/animation issues and a generally disliked ending (tbh I think the series ending is fine, just inferior to EoE), but you can't even pretend the show is bad.

like I honestly don't wanna hear 90% of this forum complain about it, because they're still in diapers watching entry titles or worthless crap

fan here; not tried, it was a smart serie the final is just particular, if you want action and mechas destroying the world try another serie
