Final Fantasy Xiii-3
Just read this article and it's sounding awesome. They're adding a time system, which, given my love of games with that feature (Xenoblade comes to mind <3), sounds like a welcome addition, if they pull it off right. Also really interested to see how the battle system turns out. That's a huge change for Final Fantasy to go action rpg style. The anticipation is going to be killing me for the rest of the year lol.
So I know FFXIII got a lot of hate, but any other fans out there?

@DrStrangenoob: Haha, yeah some of the FFXIII boards out there get pretty bad. I was actually expecting quite a bit of trolling and flaming considering how basilers are sometimes. I'm the same with PSP MMO's, although I still play maple, but in general I stray away from P2P. Feels like a waste if I'm paying per month, but not playing often.
@DrStrangenoob I personally loved XIII despite all the negative marks it received. It lost a few points in my book though just because of how annoying Hope was through most of the game (XIII-2 fixed my dislike of him though).
I can respect that.
I actually think the revamped FF XIV looks pretty impressive IMO compared to what it was originally, from what I've been following of it. I probably won't be getting it since I don't have the time to devote to a P2P MMO (heck, I hardly even go on Maple these days), but I can definitely respect the effort and sincerity SE put into fixing the game.
Also, I'm glad to have had a rare, actually civil topic on FF XIII. I guess I'm jaded from seeing plenty of polarizing discussion about XIII on other message boards.

As for info on XV, what's in the way at the moment are XIV and Versus XIII, not so much XIII-3/Lightning Returns. Progress on Versus XIII is apparently going slowly because most of the team is busy with the reworking being done to XIV. Versus XIII has to be high on their priority list considering how long ago they first unveiled it. So once they re-release XIV, then we'll start hearing more news about Versus XIII and then after that gets closer to release, some info on XV shouldn't be too far behind. I honestly care more about those than the mmo, but eh, everyone's trying to get a slice of the mmorpg pie lately.
@pinoymystic @Liam Wow you two lol.
:c I like Lightning because she's an independent woman who don't need no man.
I like her because of her personality.
@pinoymystic: i glove you moar
@Liam: it's okay, i still glove you. C:
@pinoymystic: is okay ;o; this is the one matter we cannot agree on
@ox0Shad0w0xo
Well I do hope Hiroyuki Itou's team (the team behind FF VI, IX, and XII) is secretly working on XV, since he hasn't been heard from in a while. Personally, I kinda wish SE would give some more info on Versus and XV, but they don't want to take any attention away from XIII-3 and XIV.
Truth be told, I consider XIII to be a 6/10 game in my book. Decent and entertaining enough, but could've been much better. I'll probably watch the cutscenes for XIII-3 on youtube once it comes out just to wrap up the story for the series.
@Liam: yeah, i know that's what I got from your quote. D:
i'm sowee. :C
@pinoymystic: i played all of teh xiii-2 cause i was like "i'll give it another try" and all of the endings didn't help me ;A;
@Liam: :c butt stuff.
@KilIerCombo This will probably be the last one, but don't quote me on that, they could milk the series more than FF7 if they really wanted to. And no to all the FF7 fanboys, I'm not saying 13 is better, but it is the only other game in the series to receive as many spinoffs/sequels as FF7.
@Nehalem Yeah, I hated Academia so much because of the never ending Cie'th. I didn't mind the linearity of XIII though, as it made sense with the plot and lots of old rpg's were linear anyway so it didn't bother me. The DLC thing just gets worse and worse.
@DrStrangenoob They're already working on 15 as well as reworking 14 (the 2nd mmo in the series).
@Benkillyou If you're getting destroyed in FF13 then you either need to use a new strategy (if it's a boss), avoid fighting it (if it's a large enemy in chapter 11), or look into the CP grinding tips and get your characters stronger before you progress. The game punishes you pretty hard for being under leveled for a fight.
You got both endings to XIII-2 right? o:
"When the end finally came, I had none of the answers I needed."
Square Enix is running out of ideas and will be gone soon if they keep this up.
Can't wait til this comes out. Too bad Square Enix is plaguing their newer games with DLC/IAP; that's the only part that sucks on their part.
i didn't really like XIII for the reason that it was too linear. That aside, I did enjoy farming adamantortoises; I spent a good 20 hours doing that. Also the game itself was beautiful.
XIII-2 was more interactive for me but it had its annoyances. I didn't like that we were stuck with Serah and Noel only. One of the biggest annoyances is that city infested with those zombie things that spawn every freaking second. The ending as well, huge disappointment. It feels like they're just trying to milk the XIII series as much they can.
You got both endings to XIII-2 right? o:
Bleh. No thanks. So long as they finally finish the whole "XIII series" and move onto something new.
:c I like Lightning because she's an independent woman who don't need no man.
so it's like...single player final fantasy? borrrringggg
