spice and wolf is not adventure
it's pleasant, though
probably one of the only animes where i'd recommend the english dub over the japanese

I'm assuming you're requesting anime suggestions as the title suggests (conflicting request in description).

Romance is definitely in SAO; however, as someone who didn't enjoy the series I can't say I would recommend it to you.

I liked Spice and Wolf as it portrayed a more mature type of romance (in my opinion). It isn't directly addressed but you can tell just how much the relationship between the two main characters has grown as the story progresses. Despite how good I thought it was, I can't say it has any re-watch potential given how slow the series itself is. If you can't stand slow series, then you can consider SAO.

EDIT: Also, it depends on what kind of adventure you're looking for. SAO takes place in a more fantasy climate whereas Spice and Wolf takes place in a more political and economical climate (in terms of emphasis).

Rave Master is like Inuyasha, instead of jewel fragments, they collect Rave Stones.
