With 100 percent status resist

Is it possible to avoid Gollux's arms and stuns and stuff? Are stuns considered a status effect or would I still get hit or what?

I know all status effects I will avoid including seduce but what else is there to name?

@cb000: I've heard of the cage ignoring, but if you're soloing it fine, then I'll try it again some time.

@simaini: Fatal is usually one that can't be cured by an All Cure like Seduce, Zombify, Reverse Keys, etc. Stun should be included, and if Concentrate goes into a cooldown, that's good confirmation that it's considered fatal. I'll check later to see.

@TripleBladez: i don't know what's a fatal status effect, but now that i think of it, my DS can resist stun too. i remember in DRPQ the falling rocks would sometimes not stun me

@Pharaohs: 30% base, 15% from 3 Cygnus Knights' level 120 link skills, 20% from level 100 willpower, 30% from resistance potion (of which I've crafted like 500 so I won't be running out anytime soon), and 3% from DS character card.

@TripleBladez: I'm pretty sure Hard Hilla's cage can be resisted, since I rely on my resistance for my solos.

@simaini: My DS can resist Stun. It'll even show a 'RESIST' animation. I think it's considered a fatal status effect, so Concentrate goes into a cooldown when resisting it on a BM instead of just restarting the stacks again for a normal status effect, but I'm not on right now to check if Stun is actually considered fatal or not.

@cb000: Makes plenty sense but wait holy crap, do you have that much without Valhalla or what? O_O 30% status resistance potion as well or no?

How are you able to obtain so much?

i don't think stun is considered a status effect. if it was, you should be able to use an All cure potion to snap out of stun, but it doesn't work.

The only thing that caps out at 90% is Evasion Rate, not Status Resistance. Some things just ignore your Status Resistance though like Seduce from Crimson Queen's mirror, Hard Hilla's cage, etc. It's like % HP attacks ignoring all types of Avoid.

With 100% Status Resistance, you'll be able to resist things like Curse, Poison, Darkness, Weakness, Seal, Stun, Seduce, Zombify, Reverse Keys, etc.

@Pharaohs: From what I've seen so far, I have no evidence to say 90% is the cap for status resistance, considering I haven't used a single all-cure or Hero's Will for a very long time. Either I've been very lucky so far or the 90% cap doesn't exist.

@cb000 Very good observation. You said you have 98% status resist when the maximum is 90%, do you just have a lot of extra?
@natty2 Thanks makes sense.
@daringwaffle Is this confirmed?

@cb000: I'm using empress set which has -2s abnormal status time. That was a very good observation. O.O

Do you have any neb/potential for reducing abnormal status time?

I have 98% status resist, and until about a few weeks ago, I was using a top with a -2s abnormal status time potential line, and I never saw the bind from the jaw until I switched to another top that did not have the line. I never once resisted it. Once I got the potential line back on my current top I stopped seeing the bind again, suggesting that the stun lasts 2 seconds and can be cancelled out but not resisted.
Gollux's status effects cannot be resisted. However, I can confirm that the stun duration can be shortened if you have a neb/potential for reducing abnormal status time.
as far as i know, since RED you can't 100% avoid anything save for when using skills that explicitly state so

Status resistance would protect you from stuff like falling rocks in Horntail,
Or lightning in zakum,

But things like gollux hand, or Magnus spider web lock - you cant avoid with resistance.
