I used to be uncreative and tried to make too many Japanesesque names that are complete messes in my eyes.

Now I usually make food related puns (particularly curry), take existing names rewording them into an entirely different meaning or just to make it sound less obvious than it was meant to, or if I do make a Japanese name I would make it a portmanteau. My personal favorites are my Battle Mage and my Blaze Wizard.

Nekkutsu being a play on the words Neko and Downtown Nekketsu (Kunio-kun series to be a little accurate.) Or as the more familiar name River City Ransom!

Ozoka is mostly obvious, but for those don't see it. Oz + Osaka~! Osaka being a place I REALLY wanna go to one day... perhaps even live there.

Basil ID: I wanted to help people, so I chose an ign that made that apparent

IGNS:

Verdancy- My favorite color is green and my character design is centered around that color, so when the name change ign rolled about I decided to change to an ign that literally meant "green"

Salties- My thunderbreaker. It orignally was ThundaTheSea, but I changed it to Salties because a Thunder Breaker utilizes a lot of ocean-based moves.
Agera- My only female (trap) character. Decided that I wanted to make her pretty and sparkly so I named her after my favorite car, the Koenigsegg Agera

Renni

My basil name is just a nickname.
My maplestory IGN is somewhat lame, but it comes from the word "recalcitrant." Which is kinda like a rebel. Like pirates, I guess. But most ppl associate my IGN with calculus since I talk about my calc struggles.

Most of my igns don't really have any meaning. The few that do are:
Tamirelia - loosely based on my friend Tammy's name
Angirena - Loosely based on my friend Lina's name (since Lina is short for Angelina) + Rena Ryuuguu's name from Higurashi, an anime we both like
Sella - the maid from Fate/Stay Night (and, more importantly, Fate/Kaleid). Since the character is dressed like a maid.
Aryaria - It's Arya (like from Game of Thrones) + the word aria.

Rebirth or remake for an old skill. Re + Assaulter. I think I was playing Re:Chain of Memories at the time.
Nexon is so dumb for deleting such awesome skills.

Goomu

I remember seeing a thread like this a little bit ago... I'll post again anyhow.

Forum name - from the Zatch Bell manga. The anime stopped before Goomu showed up. If you haven't read it, go check it out. I think it's pretty good anyhow...

Recent igns - I used to have lots of trouble with waking up a few times a night. At its worst I was up 3 or 4 times a night. So I own a bunch of AM names. Three was first since almost every time I woke up, it was around 3AM. Didn't want to delete Three when I moved to reboot so now I'm Four... lol.

Speaking of which, why can't we see people's IGNs directly through their posts on Basil anymore? The most basic gaming forums give people the option to have their IGN on display.

Now we have to click on a username and go to the players page?

Every time this site undergoes a change, it gets worse and dumber. Revert.

Made a post on the site-related subforum. Show support if you can be bothered.
