It was alright I suppose, however I still feel like the writers became too ambitious with the plot.
The ending was a major disappointment, with all of the world building and inexplicable questions raised throughout the story, the plot was hyped up to be something so incredibly grand that would tie everything up perfectly. But in the end, nothing truly amazing happened, in fact it felt like the story wasn't even finished. It felt like the show promised to solve all of the inexplicable events that occurred but only did so halfheartedly. Perhaps I expected too much out of it, but in the end the story wasn't as amazing as I'd hoped it would be halfway through.

So would your problem with the ending have to do with what they did with Takeru at the end? Most of the complaints I hear are about that.
