Hard gollux

I'm in the process of doing gollux pre's and was wondering if I would be able to solo hard mode with my pally? I have approximately a 400k range self buffed and ~100% boss. I'll also be hitting 200 soon so I'll be getting the lv200 hyper to help a bit more.

I found, the hardest part of gollux is staying alive. If you die once, you're done. Buff time takes long, unless you manage to time the buffing correctly (immediately after dodging an attack).

I think my first hand gollux solo was around your damage. The jaw isn't a problem once you get in the zone and pay attention to the direction he's facing. Once you're through with that. Use smite to clear off any nearby summons. Throw on sacro and mash on the face. At this point it comes down to dumb luck. I still have nightmares about the eye flares. Generally I jump down and clear the summons then head back up, finish off the eyes before going into the head. I've done it every day for the last week and have died on three runs, once each time. The other runs were flawless.

So yeah you might die once or twice but I think you'll be able to.

Alright thank you all for your comments and advice I gave it a try before I went to sleep last night and failed utterly though it was mainly due to a lack of control at the jaws. I'll just have to keep practicing at it or find someone to duo with me

@Boza: I tried using B-step and it still hits me. The mobs on the bottom aren't a problem for a shadower since I can just use dark flare. With my range it does enough damage to hold the mobs at bay for a while.

I can't do it with almost 500k range and 120% boss but I think it's down to poor technique on the eyes.
Though I will probably give it a shot after I asked around how to do it

Bring someone that doesn't mind dying for you so you get that 20 sec of invincibility from resurrecting someone. Then you get 50 seconds of invincibility to kill the eyes.

Doesn't hurt to try it out .
If you can't solo, you can definitely duo it.

I suspect that should be enough. You'll likely fail occasionally though. The eyes are gonna give you some trouble. Just make sure to control the mobs at all times, and use sacrosanctity when you attack the eyes. Also, be prepared for when he reverses your controls. Its guaranteed to happen once you kill the jaw. Make sure you keep up all of your buffs. You can get divine shield by quickly taking damage from one of the mobs and returning to the center to avoid his next attack. Finally, I would advise attempting to fight him all 3 tries (instead of farming) until youre confident you can win. My pally has over 700k range but I still never fight him on my last try, just to be safe.

That's more than enough. Only thing you need to worry about is surviving, and even that should be easy enough as pally.

I'm only a shadower but I will try to share my experience... For starters, I have 410k buffed range and 105% boss, very close to yours.
The jaw is fairly easy to get through, you should be able to swap sides pretty easily with rush to avoid attacks. It's the eyes that will get you. I hope you have something to take care of the mobs on the lower level, because they can quickly reach the center and kill you when the counter reaches 5. On top of that, since you're a melee range class (like me), the eyes can easily hit you with its 1HKO attack and drive up your death counter. By the time all of my deaths are used, I'm usually VERY close to successfully killing the eyes. The forehead is a piece of cake after that. I've tried to tell you all I can, but the best way to learn is to try it yourself.

Best of luck!
