Getting 15 stars can be very inconsistent based on what I've heard from people. Some people have said they have spent 4bil+, while others say they spent less than 1bil. If you're looking to buy now, I'd check the market for legendary items since we're fresh out of a miracle time. You find find something for cheap!

It really depends on how many mouse clicks it takes to achieve 15 stars or leg pot. You also have to consider whether you wish to buy it from fm or make it yourself. If you want to reduce the difficulty, you just buy it. Buying it from fm for example should only take 2-3 clicks especially if you use owl to help search for the item you want.

would it be better to get Leg pot 12 star or a Unique pot 15 star
So vague, are we talking about Tyrants or not? Because if so, 15 stars on those are way harder.
Leg pot. Just buy an item with one in fm.
