What event should I join
So I joined track & field this year, and the coach started moving us to whatever events he thought we would "succeed the most in". I originally joined sprints for 100/200m, but he recommended I move to 800/1500m. Now I wouldn't have any problem listening to a coach's advice, except for the fact that I suck terribly at long and even mid - distance pretty badly. The only thing I can really do well in is sprints, but I don't know if I should listen to the coach or not, since like 4 other people in sprints got recommendations to move the 800/1500m as well, so I'm not sure if he really thinks I should go. Also, what does to be "explosive" in running mean? Thanks!

explosive as in you can increase your speed to maximum instantly?
idk, i think of it like you're running at 6.2sec 40yards and bam you speed up to 4.2 in an instant just to overtake the other person?
Try harder.
