Correct. The first 10 episodes of Brotherhood will cover most of the thing that original has.

The original is not worth watching. The ending is way too abrupt and unfulfilled. Brotherhood covers the whole storyline of the original series and continues on to finish the brothers' quest to get their bodies back. I watched Full Metal Alchemist first and it felt like a waste of time when I started watching Brotherhood.

Brotherhood has better story because it based exactly like manga. I recommend you to see both to know why brotherhood is better. Try to see the origin first before you see Brotherhood, but if you see brotherhood first then don't bother to watch original.

I still like the original better. It seems it's pretty split on which one people enjoy more. I'd say watch both. They are both amazing.

*Story makes more sense, but isn't anywhere close to the ingeniousness of Brotherhood's stories and theories

*BRIALLIANT story and theory behind god, religion, and science
*Epic as hell, especially towards the end
*Beautiful soundtrack and unique sound
*Tries to get that "dark, disturbing, and psycho" feel like the original but falls short
*Some incredible artistry used in the show looks stunning
*10 Episodes or so longer

Should definitely watch both.

I would start with the original first and then Brotherhood.

The original had a nice soundtrack but is definitely not as emotional and climatic as Brotherhood; it is however darker than Brotherhood IMO.

Brotherhood has a nice soundtrack as well and has a lot of heartwarming and epic moments compared to the original.

Watch both the original, and brotherhood. Bother are good but I liked brother hood more. P.S. if you're going to watch the original FMA watch the movie that connects with the original series once you've finish the whole series.

i watched all of brotherhood this year, i think i would of liked the original more. it was dark/shocking when i seen a couple episodes years ago

Brotherhood is based off of the manga so the plotline is a bit better. The "original" makes a bit less sense. I prefer Brotherhood.

The remake is definitely bettter. Still watch the original before Brotherhood though because it's still good and watching Brotherhood first would make the original less enjoyable.

brotherhood is a completely new story, i actually perfer brotherhood over the original because its so good, but i've seen it so many times on adult swim its no longer fun to watch

Both are worth watching. The original is very nicely placed, has a better soundtrack, and ironically, it gives a stronger sense of brotherhood. Brotherhood rushes past the material already covered by the original, but it has more action and it's a pretty faithful adaptation of the manga from beginning to end. Since the original introduces the world and the characters better, you'd want to watch that first. (I wouldn't consider Brotherhood to be one of those adaptations that are on par with or better than the source material, so if you like reading the manga, I would recommend that instead.)

I think Brotherhood is better but you should watch both to make your own opinion.

i watched both but I watched the original one back when i was younger so i dont remember much of it. However i do know i enjoyed both of them, so i would say watch both
