Hello, I'm looking into bossing regularly and would like to know what I should be aiming towards in terms of range to solo. Currently at 400k clean.

@SillyBats: I clearly state that I don't know anything about Empress.
Assuming you can spam hitostrike. You can do chaos zak/ht, hilla, Pb, ark, maru(I can't even solo madman with 909k range), Ra. Now if you have any pro friends, get someone with "pro" status to be your attacker. And you can freeze frame hard hill, ark, chaos Pb, and chaos Von Bon. Just take note, these bosses do not freeze frame easily. The best way is to corner them and stand as close as possible while spamming hito. If you stand too far away, they will unfreeze before you freeze them again.
One thing I've learned. Instead of wondering what you can or can't do, just go and do it.
Hayato may not be the strongest class, but if you know how to use it, you can get away untouched.
Hitokiri Strike will allow you to kill just about any boss that allows you to stun them.
Without using the above ^ your options are limited though

20 minutes isn't too bad. If you have the time to sit down and play MapleStory, there's no need to rush it.
empress is doable with less than 2-2. maybe 1-2 or slightly less as long as you keep her stun locked, but it will just take you a REALLY long time. and if it's possible try to make it so that when you use hitokiri to stun you land on top of empress for a chance to proc willow
empress would still be hard at 2m-2m for a hayato. hard gollux/normal magnus wouldn't be worth it, it'd probably take you over 20 minutes. cht, czak, PB, easy ark, normal ranmaru shouldn't be a problem. at 1m range, you can give hardgollux/normal mag a shot and you can probably hitokiri lock normal ark at a reasonable time.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Even normal classes can't solo Empress with 500k range
oh yea sorry I forgot to mention those two as well. You can also deffinetly solo Normal Hilla, Easy and possibly Normal Magnus. Okay that's definitely a start, I've always wanted to take on PB. As far as Magnus, Hilla, and Empress go where will my range need to be for them?
You can definetly do Normal/Chaos Zak and HT, Normal Ranmaru, maybe even Normal/Hard Gollux and possible Normal PB.
