No, Top 50 is possible with low range on an f/p.
Last week I had 400k range clean and I went out to dojo and got 11:18 minutes.
Sidenote: I did this right after the day reset, went to sleep, and a few hours later I was at like 45th place, and retrieved my gloves haha
Now I usually get 10 minutes or so since I have 1m range buffed, so its not a problem anymore lol. You just need to know when to dojo. (best time is at 12:00am pst)

Some tips: MPE pots, NLC 8matk pot, decent SE/Haste/CO/SI, around 130% boss, 70% PDR+, swiftness/decay/etc rune, always FH+ME+Teleport combos when you're at higher stages, always keep meteor shower on CD, prepare buffs correctly, do whatever you can to shave as many seconds as possible, stuff like that.

to be in the top 50, you must at least have at least 500k range+, and your class must be of that above 15 on the damage chart.

scania is kind of hard for top 50 but u can finish it and hope for the best.

i have a 550k range 130% boss 100% pdr and i barely make the top 50

The board isn't even full after the first count in Bera. Scania is probably a bit worse, but you should be fine so long as you accept them before the second count.
