Are ProMaplers Younger now compared to back in 2005-2006?

I use to play back in 2006-2009 and most pro players that I played with back in the day (lvl 90+) were at least of college age or older (21yrs-32 years)
Now, I returned back to maple and I recognize pro players are younger these days (or claim to be?). I hang out in HoH & Twilight Perion and mostly the pro/ high level players (210+) I talk with are between the age of 17-19. Are older players avoiding maplestory nowadays?

I started playing maple when I was 26 and it was just before Kradia was released. I just turned 33. I've only ever played Maple and I tried WoW when my dad used to play. I kept up with maple through the years but got bored with WoW. I just really like the storyline of maple and the gameplay. I've also made some really great friends of all ages and we have a great time. There was a girl in my alliance who's dad even played maple with us. I've also had friends who were as young as 10. I think most of the older people who are 30+ are scared/ashamed to admit they play. I don't plan on quitting anytime soon. That's my opinion on the subject.

I'm level 212 & 24 years old. It depends on the group of people you talk to as I find mostly older players these days.

Ok, I get the money party and about there being more games and all, but back when I use to play prior to Big Bang almost all high level or "pro" players were in college or past college. There were young ones back then (I use to be 16 when I first started) who would hang out in low level area, but a lot of my friends who were guild leaders were adults, and a lot also got married in real life as well as in maplestory. I even remember having several friends who were parents and have kids, or people who have full time jobs. A lot of them tend to hand out in Ludi, and then leafre after it came out.

Now, I talk to most people and I feel like less and less adults play maplestory and the ones who stick around and the ones who use to play the game when they were younger like me and are just either curios or semi addicted. I was talking to a friend who also play maple, and she told me it might be also world related. I use to play in Broa and I recognize a large majority of the population were more reserved and older, and she told me Windia even back in the day was mostly dominated by younger players.

I kind of liked talking to the adult player because they were less immature.

Mostly Highschoolers and College/University students
I've hardly seen anyone in primary school or under 14
Well there are a lot more games nowadays that you could say is more challenging? such as League of Legends, Starcraft etc.

And also they may have moved on such as finding a job, study for college etc.

Maplestory these days is based mainly around children who are in middle - high school in my opinion although Nexon is encouraging such young children to gamble...
Heh League of legends challenging, what a joke. But yeah, this post is mostly correct. The target audience is in the transitional phase of life.

The vast majority of Maplers are in high school I think.
I only play MapleStory to merch and make money.
(I'm 18 [first year university student])
