@cocobenz: K lol, why would you ever not hit a big muscle group for a month?
If you have time, may I hear a weekly routine and what or if you change it up what the routine consist of?
lazy/busy lel
i basically started a push pull leg, then slowly converted to chest/tri, back/leg/bi, and purely shoulder/lats. i randomly cycle exercises on these days just to not have a constant same exact routine
even though I don't work out anymore (I should get back to it. Starting to get flabby ), I love core soreness. It felt like an accomplishment that your core is sore.
@BoredAF: i legit only get doms if i dont workout a big muscle group for like 1 month =/
and i do push pull legs type of split, i play around with the days from time to time so its not always the same but im already used to the intensity and otherwise same used muscle groups
An increase in omega-3's in the diet can help to inflammation in he body and in turn muscle soreness in general. You can sill get sore, but your body will recover faster
Sure and plus, if you are constantly getting sore from your workouts, then you are doing something wrong because you are not recovering efficiently.
No, soreness and fatigue is going to be there (which is why we have rest days), but if all the recovery protocol is taken properly, I am sure that by the time you are doing your next workout session, all the soreness should had been reduced to a minimal. I mean if you look at people like Ben Rice who ran smolov squat program (probably the most hellish program but most effective for squats), he is able to recover properly for those nonsensical demands of the program.
But if you (not really referring to you, but relatively speaking) are the type who use sits around, and thinking eating is the only way to recover, then you have a looong way to go.
Obviously there are ways, stretch, foam rolling, mobility work, etc lol what are you keeping to yourself i think majority of the people know this.
Don't forget the post workout ice showers; those are the best.
Lol. you been working out for 13 years and still believe in muscle confusion? O.o Muscle soreness doesn't equate how well you trained a muscle, i can guarantee you do something you don't normally do for 1 set and you will be sore does that mean your workout was effective? Muscle soreness is only a good indicator in telling you what muscles you targeted i would say.
There are also ways to reduce potential soreness, which most people often don't do, either because they want that post gym pump, or they are too lazy too. But Imma keep to myself, these methods.
you stop getting doms when youve actually worked out longer then 2 weeks
Chest sores are da best.
Back soreness, cause when I rest it's really relaxing for me o.o
I got that right now
Love it when triceps feel sore
Hmmm, for me it's easiest for my quads/gluets to get sore, followed by chest and then upper back.
It's quite rare for me to feel very sore, lower back, triceps, hammies or biceps though. Maybe I'm just not working them hard. Might just be me though.
Enough of the fitness threads, god.
the type that feels like your body is going to break down due to the intensity yet feeling accomplished instead of whining of how sore you are.
Core soreness, arm soreness.
