Ripped contact lens

So one of my monthly contacts folded together and I was trying to pry it apart but a little piece on the side came off. When I finally unfolded it, it still looked pretty normal but just with 1/20th of a piece missing. I immediately put it back on to see if it would feel weird but it felt fine.

My question is, is it still okay to wear them and not have them damage my eyes in the process? I kinda just opened these up a week ago and don't really want to discard it just yet so help please!

Edit: the missing piece isn't on the pupil or the iris but on the white part of the eye.

Once my contacts made me tear hardcore so when I got home I saw that my contact was missing a part on the side. idk if it can actually damage the eyes but it hurts.

Cool. Thanks for the help guys, and I'm only asking here cuz I couldn't find the exact circumstances that I had online somewhere.

If it starts irritating you, best if you just switch to new ones. Next time, if your contact folds on itself, add some of the solution to make it damper and kinda rub it to put it back to shape.

I still wonder why people ask Basil for somewhat medical advises.

I would advise against it.
Even if you don't feel anything, the inside of the contact (around the broken edges) may possibly be irritating your eye.

Not going to claim I know what the effects may be, but your vision isn't something you want to take risks with.
