Max damage cannoneer funds

I've been considering side-funding a cannoneer sometime later, but was told it's not a good idea because of the amount of funding it takes to cap on buckshot[hyper skill that triples lines but damage is reduced to 40%]. Just what type of funds[range-wise] d'you guys think I would be looking at in order to hit caps on most bosses? Assuming around 250% boss, 92% pdr ~

@povveriess: Yeah it was kinda funny because yesterday my friend was shocked that I had a (now 800k range) hitting the SH mobs. He didnt understand how I had such a high range and yet was only hitting high 2's, low 3's on SH monsters.

same with me fully buffed. all my gear has at least 10% str nicely scrolled for str too. im only hitting 2mil per line on mobs sooo im guessing anywhere around a 17-22 million range would caps on normal mobs

Geez 9.5m range? I'm only at 700k and i'm having an extremely hard time finding the funds/things to upgrade

You need around 9.5m range to cap on cvellum, but thats not even hard compared to getting +1 attack speed on IA which is like winning the mega millions...
Thats why i quit mine

Assuming:
>Buckshot is -60% damage reduction (so you deal 40% of your original damage)
>50% average (between min and max) critical damage
>250% boss damage
>100% total damage (from link/class/hyper skills)
>92% Ignore Enemy Defence
>300% PDR of Chaos Vellum, as well as most boss' 50% Physical Resistance

Roughly 8.12m average (midpoint between min and max, so max range would be closer to 8.55m) to hit cap on Chaos Vellum. Does not include Total Damage in this range.

Buckshot makes you deal 40% of your original damage, not -40% damage reduction.

If I'm lucky I can hit 10m per line on bosses with low defense (like Ranmaru and Zak) and I'm at around 1m range 82% pdr 19x% boss (can't remember at the moment). I'd assume you'd need around 5m+ range with more boss, pdr, and crit damage to hit cap with buckshot.
