@Seroxyn: Thanks a lot dood. That actually doesn't sound so bad. I was getting about that number (or maybe it was 40) but also with 10+ hits.

@artman : For classes with 100% stance and decent status resistance, you can get SS if you utilise the rolling attack. For classes without 100% stance however, no clue.

The lowest I've achieved SS rank was with 52 potatoes, so that's the number you should aim for.

Is it just me or does the potato stealing quest seem impossible to SS on?

@RovLa: equip the shoes that you get inside the event maps (guide NPC will give them to you each time you reenter). in the beginner skill tab there will be 3 skills; it'll be easier if you figure those out by trying them
a few things affect the usage:
1. the height and distance of your character when you cast the hook(s)
2. the angle that you cast the hook(s)
3. when hooked, the timing that you let go of the hook(s), if you do
how do i even cast the hooks?

Practice makes perfect.

You need to know that the ODM gear always starts at the top. Use wall PQ to practice and soon you'll get used to the speed vs angle.
