I can vouch for FFXIV:ARR. It is a great game and above average in nearly every aspect but doesn't excel in any area imo. Except if you're very into plot. FFXIV definitely has the most/best plot for an MMO compared to most MMO's that don't even have a plot that you need to/can follow. Community is great, as people have said. I played for a few months until I became too busy with school but might return this semester. The one thing one of my friends couldn't stand, however, was the economy - namely the fact that money is nearly useless in the game when approaching endgame. Still, I recommend giving it a try!

@ryu626: I'm using PS4 but they are all cross platform servers. PC, PS3, and PS4 players all play in the same servers. it's really neat. I play on Mateus world if you wanna join me and my Free Company (Their equivelant to a Player guild). Or you might just join on with your buddy's world if it's still open cause some are overpopulated and are closed. PSN is DevilsRiot if you wanna add. Our FC is super nice and we're all more than happy to help out new players.
And I don't wanna keep gushing but this game is soooo good. FFXIV and Maplestory are really the only MMO's I've ever played that had good music. [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noJiH8HLZw4]Shiva's Theme[/url] is one of my all time faves.

You can also try TERA if you're scared of subscriptions. Only problem is that it requires a strong PC to run it. TERA had awesome combat where you can actually dodge or block all the attacks and gorgeous settings and visuals, but unfortunately it falls flat in the questing department. They're all boring lines of text to me, no real need or incentive to read all that soulless junk, which was why I stopped playing. Also the Cash Shop there pissed me off cause I had like 523592358 boxes but apparently you gotta buy Keys with money for that. It's not P2W at all, but some of that stuff just made me angry for some reason.[/quote]

I saw TERA as well but I don't have a Beast PC haha, I might have to get FF14 a try. Are you guys using PS4 or PC for it ?

hmmm yeah, well one of my buddies had that, it seemed cool but idk.

I played and strongly recommend FFXIV if you're willing to pay a sub fee.
