Dat R.e.d. update coming soon
So i gotta question for ya'll, with the R.E.D. update coming sometime during the winter season here in GMS i've been wondering about dem mastery skills. so as many of you know we can purchase lv20 and lv30 books and can change sub-jobs withing our jobs (if that made any sense lol) so if i change from a Shad to a NL would i have to purchase the general skills again like sudden raid and maple warrior? cause if you do that is some BS! <3 <3 <3

Pattern from the previous summer/winter big patch. Whatever Kms gets in the summer, gms gets it in the winter. Kms legend patch didn't Finish until like late August, and gms still got it that winter. Cygnus return will probably be next month. Late November for sure will be pre-RED patch that includes nonexplorer revamps.

We're roughly 6 months behind KMS, we'd get "The First Impact" in winter most likely (major patches are ALWAYS in the winter *like tempest* or the summer *unleashed* for us) , and the other parts in January / Febuary. We'll LIKELY do what MSEA did, and just get ALL the Cygnus revamps in 1 patch, instead of doing it in 3 separate ones like KMS did so it would be something like this
September: Cygnus Returns, soul weapons, and class balancing
October: Masteria Update
November: Holiday events, filler patch
December: RED - The First Impact
The masteria update can really be in any of the 3 months @ September ~ November.

Yes, when you change classes, all mastery levels are reset. You have to buy all the books again.

@UrHedsOnFire I believe you got it wrong... IIRC Max(orangemushroom) stated it in a very weird way saing you dont need books. He meant SKILL books, not mastery books. SKILL books are the books you need to "learn" the skill while Mastery are the ones you need to raise the skill level cap. Adventurers still need the new mastery books to raise them.
RED was roughly 45 days ago for KMS
i've forgotten our delay but it was 3 months last i checked, we SHOULD have RED starting right after the halloween event ends.

Ah I see. Well if you haven't used them yet at least you should be able to trade them in to the NPC for the same book without having to pay
Explorers will not need mastery books. You won't need to buy from the npc because all your skills go to max level already.
I liked the original mastery book method.
The hunt for your book was much more exciting.
Actually had to hunt for some books back then.

Well my bm has mw30. I bought both these books when there cheap. So... getting these two will be a pain in the ass

Why the big complaint over paying for the mastery books though? They don't cost that much and you can buy them from the NPC. Not to mention, you should be happy that all the skills that previously required skill books to unlock are now available from the get go. I'm pretty sure that more than makes up for having to pay for the mastery books when you change classes ._.

Yes you do. You also get a level 100 weapon to help you out if you do switch ^_^
