@SkyBreak: Evans are fun, but I truthfully wouldn't recommend a job class that costs NX to play them. I loved evans, but it just saddens me that Nexon makes them nearly in-survivable without paying NX for that magic guard 20 book, not to mention the other 2 books...
Like he said, he doesn't want a job that costs real life money, or too much mesos to fund. Need to think cost-effectively.

@Sassagua: They ARE quite hardy for a pirate class. They hit hard, have range, are decently fast & have 2 great support buffs by 4th job (Mega monkey magic, and Maple warrior)
Plus they BLOW THINGS UP! That's what I miss about my Cannoneer. Ya seem like a pirate type, but you don't like tiring your hands out most likely. I think you should go for it. Cannoneers have a simple, blow stuff up play style that I think you'll totally get hooked to. Plus I heard they're cool at bosses...
I honestly can't wait to pick up on mine again. I have to level her to 120 for a lvl 2 link skill. Plus she got an epic IGN too, in my opinon..xD
I also think you should consider a buccaneer. While they're boring in first and second job, third becomes quite fun, and 4th is just plain worth it, as they have great survivability and decent damage.

@JazzC87 I actually think of a cannoneer, I like the playstyle, and he seems kinda nice, should I try it?

Be a NL, their post RED mobbing and bossing will be much, much better than it is now, especially since we will be able to use mob attacks without standing in the mob -_- plus their playstyle is a lot of fun

@Sassagua: Well lets see. Lets try narrowing this down. What would you say your usual play style is on maple? Casual? Hardcore? In terms of jobs, do ya like long range, short range, magic? (Not totally sure how to word the question, but maybe you can try answering it)

Alot of people don't really fully understand how to play them. Me? I picked up how to play them in a matter of hours. Its so easy. I don't get why people think its so confusing...
I mean if you really hate them, maybe there's something else I can come up with.
@xkillo32: No, its way more than that. Yes, you can find the earlier job books in FM for a fair price (for example, I sold Shadow meld 20 for 17 mil), but the later job books, such as Final Cut 10, Phantom blow 10, & some other books that come from various bosses such as Zakum, Hilla, etc, depending on the NX ratio + Standard price of book, can run you into the 100~200 mil range, or even more. So, no. Dual blades= Expensive. Also costs NX if you hate shopping in FM for those earlier-job books.
Yes, they are fun, I am not bashing them, I had one. But they just cost too much in the end...
I don't like jobs that have to be cripped because the books cost too much to get, such as Evans, Dual blades, Arans...

Thunder breakers! Just continue the one you got cuz I see you have one on your basil ID. I'm addicted to playing mine. Its like if a dual blade had babies with a buccaneer. O: ! What I mean is, their playing style is fast and similar to a dual blade, but their attacks chain like a bucc, only faster...Its fast fast fast FAST! Not to mention their attacks are water themed, but electric element! o.o
The best part is that they don't need books, get a good link skill for bossing, and themselves. Though I'm not too sure about funding, cuz I pull alot of things off of other characters and reuse it.
