Staff Attack Speed
I just switched to a dragon tail staff from an ele staff and i noticed the attack speed is slow compared to fast. will this create a significant change from the fast att speed ele staff? It raises my range though.
you dont need active yellow aura to achieve max speed.
without yellow aura active, you will need 2 more attack speed, so Decent SI and inner ability will be needed or green potion.
So the options are rare inner ability, expensive/rare pot and potion which is annoying to farm. None of those methods are really overly accessible to poorer players, this update blows.
@pikalachu: not to blow away te bubble but if I get your point u need yellow aura active to achieve speed cap which in most casses while bossing those who dont have high range would need other auras right? ._.

in the new revamp bam are no more able to cap speed without fast attack staves on the other hand they give us more dps so Im not sure if this will still affect the way we play to those who has fafnir staff :S
even after that revamp, you can still achieve speed cap with slow staves.
2 attack speed from yellow aura passive, 2 attack speed from booster 1 attack speed from active yellow aura = 3, you only need 1 more speed to attain cap, in which you can get to by getting either decent SI, inner ability or green potion.
if you do not want to use yellow aura, then you`ll need 2 of those method to achieve speed cap.
So as long as i have Grand Light Aura and Staff booster on, the attack speed doesnt matter?
Basically (unless you're breaking speed cap with MPE potions )
I believe this is wrong. As far as i know Battlemage does get impacted by weapon's attackspeed.
Yeah i realized that because this is a BaM forum.
Battle Mages are actually affected by staff speed, but currently you should be able to reach max speed (2) with either staves using Grand Light Aura and Staff Booster so using Dragon Tail Staff won't lower your speed
Note: This will change when the Battle Mage update that just hit KMS hits GMS, and fully buffed we will only be able to hit (3) with Yellow Aura on (this doesn't include SI, +1 Speed Attack Legendary Ability, or Green MPE potion which will allow you to hit max speed)

No. Mages are unffected by this. The only thing u get out of it is being able to whack open stupid boxes faster than most weapons
