What do you believe?
There are some doody balls threads in the chat section today. F'real, it's making me ill.
So let's have a chat, aptly named, about what you believe. It doesn't have to be religious (as I'm not saying what do you believe IN) or right at all. For example, I like to believe I can sing, but in actuality I'm total scrub status. Something as simple as this, or you can broaden it out if you want.

I'm not denying that there is a physical aspect, just that our ideas are distinct from the physical processes that may inform them.

OT: @WontPostMuch Immaterial, but also separate from physical stimulus (you mean ones like electrical impulses, right)? So you think of the brain's products as more spiritual I take it? I think it's very funny how hard it is for us to imagine how the brain works considering the brain is what handles our imaginations.
Yes. I think it's pretty obvious an electrical impulse does little to describe what I experience when, say, I see the color green, though I wouldn't call it a spiritual experience. Simply one that isn't adequately described by material processes.
I know for a fact that god is real.
So then do you believe the brain a separate body even within the mind-body duality? :o
I believe the brain acts as a sort of correspondent between the mind and body, much like a a street light interprets its electrical impulses it receives into colors we perceive individually.

Thank you. I, too, believe in the power of R. Kelly. He inspires me to fly everyday. You should definitely check out the Trapped in the Closet rap opera of his. It's pretty awesome, I think.
