Got shamed at hoh

I've been maining this xenon for a while now and i've slowing started to increase his range. My range is now 127k unbuffed. I thought to myself 'boy do i have pro dps, I'm going to give hoh a try'. So I made my way to hoh and found a group of people training. I asked them if they had room for me and they asked what my range was. When I told them it was 127k they just lol'd at me... I felt like such a noob cause they were like 500k range minimum T.T

How do I increase my range dramatically? Is it through scrolling or cubing? How on earth do you reach up to 500k range?

@Psychopathic: that's your problem not mine, and people are taking what I said way too seriously. -_- child molestation doesn't have nothing to do with boosting your range.

I don't particularly favor elitism for damage, and I'm willing to have people with low ranges in my HoH parties. However, I do have a limit. When someone's hitting like 10k, I stop thinking of them as an attacker and just consider them a leecher or support.

There are people who refuse to train with attackers who can't 1/2hko, because anything less slows down the spawn. I'm not one of them, but I don't consider that way of thinking inherently wrong either. I believe that people should be allowed to play the game with whoever they want. If that means only people with high damage, then that's their choice.

Now, if they were deliberately and continuously insulting you because of your low damage, then that crosses the line between practicality and just being rude. But if they just said "lol", that could mean any number of things. So I feel some of the comments here, while accurate for a certain segment of the population, don't necessarily apply to your case.

127k unbuffed range on a Xenon means less than it does other classes, because they have naturally high ranges. However, by my standards, it's still sufficient to train at HoH at a reasonable pace.

If you want to get stronger quickly, you should note that the most important parts of a Xenon's damage, aside from the wep/sec/emblem, are their Tyrants and set effects. Other classes benefit more from % stats from their potential lines. Xenons come with an inherent 30% all stat, and % all stat comes in lower increments than %luk/str/int/dex. Therefore your 5+ star Tyrants and CRA/Gollux set effects are weighed more heavily than for other classes, and your potential lines less. If you haven't completed those, you should do so. You should also aim to scroll with prime/adv. gollux scrolls, both of which are excellent for Xenons.

Cubing is generally left for until you're ready to aim for 1 M+ range, below that you'll be able to find equips more easily and cheaply in the FM.

1) why would you tell them your clean range, you'll be buffed while you're training (unless you can one hit without the buffs, which in this case you cannot) so might as well say that. Not that it would have made a difference in this case cause you ran into some pretentious jerks.
2) your range is more than enough to train at HoH, don't worry about it.

lol500k range is still garbage...
Heres the way i look at it, if youre going to try to succeed, go all the way or dont go at all.
Your 10/500 compared to their 50/500 is still failing so they have no leverage whatsoever.
10% and 50% on a school exam both yield a 55 or F

it is possible to get strong without funding. it takes tedious work (leveling up links to level 2 even though you don't like the class), and diligence (eventually you'll get lucky and find something worth a lot of mesos in the game if you know where to hunt for them, like commerci's voyages or gollux, root abyss boxes, etc.), but it's definitely possible. A lot of people are too lazy and take shortcuts. When they do that, then think they're entitled to shame other people, they lose my respect 100%. I would think someone who is self-made and didn't put all of their money into their character, but was patient enough to reach the place they wanted in the game over time is PRO. Pro is not about the damage you do now. It's evident enough when I hear stories or have seen people with maxed out ranges completely derping out, dying and while giving themselves away over bosses while people with much less damage manage to take things out, and show good character control to prove they know the mechanics of this game.

The usual attackers at hoh puts me to shame too....I thought I didn't really care about damage and stuff, but seeing people around my level [or lower] doing 3x of what I do, it's depressing

you know what, I absolutely agree with people saying to disregard them. I've always hated elitists, and now realize I've ended up associating with them over time, and that's not cool. There's no way I'm going to let myself become the abyss I despise. I need to figure out how to put distance between them and myself and still be empowered to help other people. Back before unleash, I was a lvl 200 lumi that overcapped on almost everything yet I still managed to not be a total egoistic bully. NOW it makes complete sense why the fan base is "dying". THEY'RE KILLING IT
and I know I'm not the only one who isn't willing to put up a fight

>.< Some people who play this game have swelled heads and massive egos just because they have "pro dps", it's really stupid in my opinion. People like that get smacked by karma pretty hard and get knocked from their high horse. You do some pretty good damage so don't worry about what those kinds of egoistical bums say, the only sense of accomplishment they feel is being "pro" at a game that needs high sums of money in order to be "elite". Besides there are ways to increase your damage without using real-life money but require a lot of work and patience in order to do that.

Don't worry too much about the others who laugh at your range. On some characters I had like 50k range and slowly worked on it and eventually I also reached your attack range and went up a bit higher.

Play this game for fun man. You didn't get shamed, they just wanted to make themselves feel better by putting someone else down.

There are very nice people in HoH and SH. Yesterday, I provided kanna + hs + I attacked and leeched people free of charge (my own computers and characters). I don't want to sound pretentious when I say it but I think you just met some very rude people.

Besides, a 127k range is good. You can effectively train to level 200 with that range. Hell, even with an 80k range, I was able to grind my marksman all the way up to level 195. As FwuffehStarz said, don't slave for other's expectations. I think your range is pretty good anyways.

For fun, I am creating a corsair, Jett, and mechanic. I will be training them all to 200. If I get your range I'd be pretty happy since that's enough for me to make it to 200.

Your range is much higher for mine, it's terrible for me to find a party cuz all I do is leech. When all those funded people can do crazy damage. As for funding, pretty much the only way is to use all your savings.. All of it.
