Ulcers are so painful

Dont you guys hate it when you get an ulcer?

I hate the ones that are on my inside bottom lip, and it hurts so much whenever I try to eat anything. I always end up having a cup of water to numb the pain momentarily.

Then there are those random ulcers you usually get on your tongue after you have a good nights sleep.

I wish they could just go away forever and leave me alone

Anyway what are your painful ulcer experiences, and what's your reaction when you get one? (could be suddenly biting onto your mouth when you're eating food, etc)

I would apply salt every 24 hours on the ulcer until it's gone.
Brush more frequently (not on the ulcer), use mouthwash more too, and stay away from any smoke in general to prevent them from coming.
Wow you must have a high pain threshold. If I was to ever put salt on my ulcer I would scream in pain and quickly rinse my mouth

@Thiefy996: If the E is after C, it makes a SSSS sound just like Cancer. So, it is 'uhl-ser'. What was your first impression on the word before? I'm curious.

@Thiefy996: How do you say 'ulkig'? is it 'ool-kig' or 'uhl-kig'

Sorry I'm just curious
Maybe it's just 'cause english isn't my first language, but I can't be the only one who thinks "ulcer" sounds and looks like a really silly word. "Tummy" looks nice, for example.
I got a stomach ulcer when I was 16 (still have it most likely). Thankfully it doesn't bother me too much. Never had an ulcer elsewhere though.. I guess I'm lucky or something.

I hate them... I always have my tongue like licking and it always bothers me. What really gets on my nerves is that i usually mite my lip and get them. Then when i'm eating, the bump the ulcer creates makes it easier to bite on by accident.

I haven't had any in awhile, but when I do get it, I rinse my mouth with mouthwash and the ulcer goes down for awhile. 8)

Water offers you relief? I wish that worked for me.

I find myself biting my tongue a lot more often lately....it sucks, but at this point, it happened so much, I'm becoming numb to the pain, so I guess that's good.
