Internship applications

Just finished applying to a few internships for my desired major (biomed engineering). I'm feeling sort of iffy on one of them, however. A basic qualification for that position was that "the candidate must have taken at least 2 college-level biology courses by the start date), which I fail to meet since my school has BMEs take our first bio class Spring of sophomore year... Obviously I was not able to explain that on my resume, but I'm scared this may be used against me when looking over my application. I did take AP Bio back in high school (got a 4, which translates to credit for one bio course unless you're on the pre-med track which I am), but was not sure if that was even worth mentioning under my "relevant coursework" section, so I chose to not include it.

Thoughts? Am I just overthinking things as I always do?

Is the internship starting for this summer? By start date, they'll mean the start of the internship, so if you can get the other class before then, you're fine.

If it is for this summer and it is absolutely mandatory, you still have the other places you applied to. Worst case scenario and you don't get anything, don't stress about it, you're in your freshman year and the experience you'll get from going through interviews will help for the future. If that happens and I were you, I'd probably pick two or three companies I'd really be interested in being an intern in, research what they're looking for in their candidates, network, and really tailor your resume for each individual company.

Best of luck!
