This what I get for being Nice
Throughout the last few years, a lot of people have been saying the community in maple just keeps getting worse. I'm always trying to help people who are less fortunate than I am by giving them mesos when they ask or guiding them by helping them with quests and what not. But this isnt a thread about me bragging about helping people. I realized most people just dont look back once you help them nor do they care that you helped. Some of the same people who scam/ deceive people are the same people asking for help. What goes trough the minds of these people? I get that they just dont give a s**t but seriously, they have no remorse lol.
Anyway, i was in FM today and i managed to grab a spot. It was a rather big spot with lots of space. As im setting up, this guy politely asks if i could move over. At first i said no, cause it didn't look like 2 spots could fit. But i had a change of heart and decided to scoot to the side a bit. There still wasn't enough space. As i closed my shop to move over just a bit more he FJs in and steals the spot. I was being nice trying to help him get a spot and he just takes mines lol. Im not too concerned because i always find open spots and usually afk for a bit then leave the spot sometimes.

I realized with a world full of strangers, behind a computer screen they are secure. In a world like this, a lot of peoples ideals are to fend for them self. A lot of people are thinking, "Who cares about other people? As long as im leveling/ getting money at the end of the day. that's all i care about." With the exception of friends that most people have. I'm still gonna help people who i think deserve it but the moral is, if your gonna help people,[b][i]dont ever put yourself in a position where they could take advantage of you.[/i][/b]

I feel you, got scammed a fm spot too. It's just the act of people scamming u that irks you.

@OP Thats nice, that youre trying to be helpful. But you'll continue to get walked over for doing things like that. Generally regarding anything that goes down in the fm, other maplers are your enemies. There are too many people trying to take advantage of others there...so youre better off treating them like the trash that they are. Keep doing what youre doing outside of the fm though. I for one, cant stand dealing with noobs. Theyre so damn needy. Never ashamed to ask for handouts.
Ex:
Them: "oh you can solo ____? U can give me free ____ equips then?"
Me: "uhh no? Get it yourself asswipe?"
You're forgetting that sick people are less afraid to be themselves "publicly" over the internet. Or perhaps openly would be the better word choice.
It goes against their self-interests to reveal who they are in real life openly, but on the internet they have no retribution to fear.
Even though people are horrible in real life. It still takes a lot more courage to be a jerk in person.
When's the book coming out?
FM is just not a place to be making allowances haha. I remember someone asking if he could have an item for a lower price, so I was going to reset the shop with the item, but he took the spot. I knew he was going to take it, but I decided to give him a chance anyway. Rather sad.
