(2x - 3y)^3 everyone else is wrong, b/c there's a -27y^3 and you can't get that w/ a +3y

anyways lemme scan my messy notes they aren't really ez steps

hello @superswift12: http://i.imgur.com/F0Aai5v.jpg

if there are four terms, the exponential is one less, hence 3
the equation i used was on the side, n being the exponent number 3
t k+1 is the number term you're on, so you would do 0+1, 1+1, 2+1, and 3+1, because there are four terms
the value k from ^ is used in nCk, n being exponent number 3, k being whatever term you're on lmao
beside nCk is like stuff and yeah
i just separated each term and did the equation for each one and checked
the (-) for the 3y is double checked when the term is exponented thingy w/ odds and even

(2x + 3y)^3
Looked at it and saw the first term as (2x)^3 and the last term as (3y)^3. Both of the middle terms are divisible by two and three so it seemed logical. Multiplied it out and it was right.
I don't know how you're supposed to do it step-by-step, though.
Lol im not even in alg 1, besides i got an A+ in that class while i was in middle school. This is a question from the international math contest for high schoolers.
I didn't read the entire question but if its for a math contest I can try to help you. Just one thing is that a x^(2*y) or y*x^2 in the second term?

This isn't a giveaway at all lmao and I could do this but I wont because you are only "giving away" if someone does your homework. You're not even asking for a favor its like "do this or no one gets anything"

so you see canada has a different curriculum depending on ur province, and in my province, u learn math 10c, 20-1, 30-1, and 31 (calc) and literally that's it algebra 1 has no meaning to me
