Beast Tamer Weapon Type

Couldn't find a thread for this anywhere, or any info on spadow's blog so... Does anyone know what weapon type beast tamer uses? Want to know this as I really want to fund one and I'd rather use red scrolls now than try to pinnacle later. Thanks basil.
Someone with info on the class <3. 'Tis a shame that we can't prepare weapons but it's not even confirmed GMS is getting them (although it's likely). I actually want to main one just because of the bear. One other question: I know the class is a mage (has %matk passives) but are its other stats like those of traditional mages? Just wondering because I can see it has fj instead of teleport and the last mage out of jms used mana. Thanks.
It's not confirmed for GMS yet, however we are definitely getting it (most likely this month or next month). It was fully translated in English before it was translated in Chinese, and it's currently on CMST.

Beast Tamer uses mana, but they don't rely on it like adventurer mages and Luminous do. It uses INT and M.ATT like other mages and its spells uses mana, but no magic guard and whatnot. As far as survivability goes, they have mid survivability, and in Bear Guardian Mode they have good survivability. They have over 50% total health bonuses while in Bear Guardian Mode. They lose it when they change modes, as passives only stay in the specific mode. This also applies to Cat Guardian Mode's buffs, because those buffs aren't casted, and are passives that apply to everyone in the map, so in order to keep everyone buffed you must stay in Cat Guardian Mode.

As far as mobility goes, it depends on which Guardian Mode they're in. They don't have teleport, but they have many other transportation methods.

While in Bear, you basically only rely on FJ, no other mobility. Bear is the brute force of Beast Tamer, focusing on damage, bossing potential, and survivability. They have somewhat good mobbing also. A lot of ignore def/defense/boss damage/HP passives as well. They also get a revive if they die, which gives them 10 seconds of invincibility after also.

Leopard is the mobile form, that focuses on mobility and mobbing.

Bird form focuses on mobility with a little support, as well as transportation. Bird can summon a nest that acts as mystic door; it lasts 200 seconds and has a 200 second cooldown, and warps whoever goes through it to the nearest town, where they can return to the map through the nest as well (identical to Mystic Door). They also have a skill that summons all party members in the channel to the map they're in. Extremely useful. Bird form also can double flash jump, glide, fly around the map, and is basically just a ton of mobility while also having a few supportive buff spells.

Cat form is the main support form, focusing on healing and supportive buffs. They can also revive and dispel, and deal a little damage also. Their buffs range from 40% EXP buffs, Sharp Eyes-like buffs, and many other stats. They have multiple heals, some heals over time, and one is similar to Cleric's heal. The revive is on a considerable cooldown, however.

Beast Tamer's level 150 Hyper skill grants all party members 30% total damage for 30 seconds, and gives the beast tamer invincibility during that time as well.

They use a Tamer Stick. It's a new type of weapon (It's also one handed if you need that information as well). If you have any more questions feel free to ask, I've read sooo much on this class.
