Saw this on the list of images on OM blog. It looks like the 5 heroes are part of the new character's storyline, but I hope they changed Aran's storyline picture to this though, just to update it a little.

Maybe Aran is like Zero, they're siblings, where Male Aran goes to fight, and Female Aran negotiates and does peace stuff.
LoL i love that in the first picture there were two warriors - Aran and a guy with a sheild - a bowman using a longbow not bowguns - and 2 mages....which leads me to believe that they made the story as they went along lol - jk i really believe that those werent the 5 heroes just people fighting off the Black Mage's army alongside Aran since the rest went inside to fight the BM in the ToT

The black mage is human - or at least a twisted variation - he has powers that rival that of transcendents - now assuming i am understanding you correctly, the first pic was to show the demonic nature of the Black Mage, the twisted, evil being that wished to control Maple World

I don't believe so. That kinda ticked me off. It looks like Zero Alpha was recalling the past or something when this picture popped up during the first few quests of his storyline. (I can only assume because he went to his room alone and the picture of the 3 transcendence popped up before the heroes did and he seems to be talking to himself.

They didn't necessarily change it completely. You see Male Aran in (Now) 2 instances of cannon whereas you see Female Aran in about 3 (Alliance conference, Phantom's present day visit to Rein, and Luminous's side of the story during the fight with the Black Mage in the past). Don't count stuff like videos or chairs though, that stuff is different.

Aran was actually originally a male. They changed it later on for who knows why.
For a second I thought Freud was doing a Hadoken. I remember when the older version of this pic was being used as a basis to determine the new heroes weapons xD
