@fmonglobal: Thanks for being someone who doesn't scam I will never understand why some people feel the need to inflate their ego by scamming other people in an online game.

Back when people had the Showa Boss' summoning sack. I remember walking into a Heneseys potion shop as a nub and people were playing the "drop items and avoid being killed game"

My friend was the party leader, and so we talked it over in chat and knew what must be done. At one point when he dropped 3 ilbies, my friend talked to the NPC and took us out of the PQ, leaving his stars there to rot.
We have a national hero in our midst

That's amazing. What was the aftermath? Did he threaten to report you, or even worse, to mass-defame you?
I wonder how different it would be now with anvil'd equips haha
Original apperance for actual item when dropped even when anviled. I tested this myself.

On topic, lost an Icarus Cape. Person cheated and used teleport with instant loot. >.<

Hope the person got perm'a banned, but that cape isn't as much anymore.

@fmonglobal, Respect. Good to see people like you with some thoughts about another person's perspective.

Back in the day I was really really unfunded and so I just took the items the scammer would let you have in the "test/trust runs" and then made up some bull about why I had to go.
Those 60% def scrolls and random lvl 30 equips meng.

They way to win is to drop something that looks valuable but is really not.

I thoguht drop games were a thing of the past

One of my most painful childhood memories involved my old cleric and this dexless sin. We agreed to trade fame and I famed him first but he didn't fame me back. Instead, he ran away. We were both at Omega Sector, and when I tracked him, he was at Ludi, so he must have used those Eos Tower rock scrolls to teleport up. I caught up with him and met at the Ludi station to Orbis. He said that he'll fame me back if I agreed to play a drop game. So he went first and dropped some nice thief equips which I couldn't pick up. Then it was my turn and I think I dropped some Emerald Earrings and lost them.

At Orbis, he went to take the ship to Ellinia. In the ship's cabin to Ellinia, he wanted to play another drop game with me, and said that if I played again, he would give me back the earrings. I think I dropped some random top and Blue Sauna Robe and he didn't give it back. Another person was in the cabin and told the sin to give it back to me.

After that debacle, I cried in my room for a while (remember, this was many years back) and vowed to not have this happen again.

To this day, I have made sure to not scam anyone so they don't feel the same pain (if they haven't already) I did, and have been GAZED's no.1 NX seller
