How to fight someone who is 4 inches taller than you?

Im about to get in a situation where I might have to fight someone who is taller than me by 4 inches

He is heavier than me but pretty sure its just fat. I have more cardiovascular endurance and stamina.

Should I just go for quick jabs and pull out combos?

I was thinking of engaging him constantly to tire him out without having to wrestle him or fight him on the ground.

Any advice would be nice

Go for the legs, attack from behind the knees, make him lose balance, then you have all the advantage you need.

Quick jabs?
Pull out "combos"?

Dude, this is real life, not vidja..... I suggest you do NOT engage into combat at all, learn the basics first

Just walk away. It's usually not worth it to get into a fight, even if you win or lose both usually end up hurting. Furthermore, if you do win and injure him badly, there's cops, civil lawsuits, etc.

If you have no other choice, just fight dirty to end it quickly. Throat shot will usually end the fight in seconds, choke hold, even grabbing a finger and bending it backward as wimpy as it sounds is quite effective. It's difficult to want to continue a fight with a broken finger. Most street fights start off in very close quarters, if you are going to throw something at his face, throw an elbow/forearm. It is far more devastating than a fist. The elbow will most likely cut him open wide, which can lead to a further effective target as he will bleed profusely. Temple shot, back of the head, chin(hit at an angle is when the KO effect happens). These are areas that will be vastly effective but can also be very dangerous.

I disagree with justin though, chin tucked(protects your throat), hands up will protect your chin. Standing with your body at an angle, will lower the target area of your body while enabling you to generate more force with a turning motion. Bigger they are, the stronger they usually are. Be careful that you don't get rocked.

Bring a knife.

Ok no but seriously if you dont think you can win run. Most street fights end in less than 10 seconds instead of those glorified movie shenanigans.

Try tackling him or pulling him forward/down to your height. If you cant knock him out the best chance you have is to have him lose his balance.

But seriously the might want to consider avoiding the conflict altogether if you can.

Head up, hands up, watch his stance. Bigger they are, harder they fall bud.
