majority of army people i've seen are mostly whites, some africans, and some mexicans not being racist though, but that's all i see

there are few asians i've seen in the army, so still some asian americans still join the army
also this goes back in WWII, when there were some asian-americans joined the military fought against the japanese
I heard of women getting sexually assaulted in the military and gays being harassed. Many of the cases of the women are dismiss, go unreported or the women get some dishonorable discharge. I have no problem dying for something I believe in but I don't trust the government much nor like how they operate.
Neither do I, and that's generally how I see politics. mouths wagging and sacs of crap filling with false substance.
The military is just like any other place, racism exists and thrives. African-Americans have made strides, but when Asian-Americans have tried they're shut down, told they're not wanted nor welcomed fighting and protecting their country because they're seen as perpetual foreigners and never really American.

It's a sad fact we in the Western world need to get a grip on and deal with.

Americans means both North and South America. What on earth are you saying.
He's not talking about that, just the perception a certain select group of Americans tend to view the US through and who's "real" in their eyes.

Most of them go to school. But I think you're kinda wrong. There's a LOT of filipinos and in the freaking navy. oh gosh.
Or you can see some asians in the Air Force because they're bright.

if you're talking about just the Army branch, well, I'm not sure. -shrugs-

Because Asians are smart enough to just go to school rather than being paid to be front line fodder in exchange for school moneys.

I would never join the military cuz it's against my ideals. I refuse to go to war and put my life on the line for a government that deceives the people nor for the personal gain of some deceptive politician.

No no, im sorry i wasnt clear. I mean in the U.S army
My last part of the sentence isn't really negative because it's the U.S army, it mostly still applies.

Plus, you must remember some asian folks were horribly scarred by the racism they had to endure. Some, like Pvt.Danny Chen who was a soldier in Afghanistan, commit suicide because of the harassment they endured serving in the army and for their country.

Now, would you expect others to see situations like these and join the army? I sure wouldn't, and I wouldn't blame anyone either.
You obviously have not been to Asia recently .. or seen tv footage or ... even video.

And it's mostly due to cultural circumstances, (slight generalization) most Asian parents would probably not want their children joining the army and potentially fighting in a war.

It's the whole "bloodline" and family honour and ... ugh ... some asians help me out here.

Commercials and movies do not depict real life, I would imagine you should know this by now.
I do but i guess it just feels nice if movies and other stuff on tv about the army show like asians and other races because mostly all I see is white and black soldiers

Edit:
not trying to be racist or anything

Asians (including Indians) are 5% of the American population. Look at North Korea, India, South Korea, China, Pakistan, et cetera. Their armies are 99% Asian.
