To refer to the mass amount of random number generator responses, it's very easily possible for someone o make multiple accounts and spam this thread to get multiple entries easily making it unfair. It bothers me that people keep saying "to keep it fair" or "would be most fair".
Random number generators, or name generators are usually my way of keeping it fair.

Put all of our names in a hat, put my name on a whole sheet of paper on top of the hat, pick up my name, profit.

I'd go for the random number generator ^^
10% scrolling challenge? Players must scroll their equipment with only 10% scrolls. Most number of lands wins. In the case of a tie, move on to round 2, equipment enhancing, most stars before the equip blows up wins. Only regular equipment enhancement scrolls are allowed.
