Why does almost every thread get locked
What the hell is going on here? I decided to swing by the chat section and almost every single thread here is locked.. All of them seem to be completely within Basil's guidelines so I'm wondering if there's some sort of new policy where threads are being auto-locked?
Mr. Basil tryna boost site popularity but locking threads isn't helping bro.

About a year ago some clown thought it would be funny to necro posts from 2012, so now threads automatically lock after two weeks.
People are why we can't have nice things.
Cause they think 1 or 2 weeks are way too long for a thread to stay active when I see some peculiar subreddit has theirs at a year and they just want to save some server space. And yeah, @beefly said the right thing once in a while. This place sure is as dead as the fish that evolved halfway on its migration to the land and ended up with half gill and half lung so just imagine how bad it is.

It's working as intended, threads are locked if they are inactive long enough to prevent necroposting.
