@unlucky7: Well you didn't ask for an updated guide (if there are any changes) to begin with though, perhaps @wall would have given you a different answer if that was in your thread, but all you did was asking the common question. I have seen plenty of useful comments by @wall in other threads. But you also must understand that certain topics (which can be googled) have way too much information. Now you were asking about one specific trait Diligence, but think about someone who is asking a question 'how to get every trait to max level?'. I would rather have 'the thread starter' google that up instead of me or someone else type this lots of information out. It is really too much of information.

From my memory if it's just 500 trait points per day, it can take like 8 months or more. Please note I haven't calculated this and I won't do this. Someone else can do that if they feel like it. I leveled my traits long time ago and I know there are few changes here and there now but you can still craft items for 500 diligence per day, this was considered the slow and cheap way back then.

If you craft items regardless which Profession you take, it will give you Diligence which has a cap of 500. If you level up the Professions Alchemy, Smithing or Accessory Crafting it will give you additional Diligence which doesn't count towards the daily limit.

So ever since they revamped Profession, Alchemy, Smithing and Accessory Crafting can level up to 12. But Lv11 and Lv12 will decrease in EXP after many hours. So what players did was letting the Lv decrease but with a nearly full EXP bar, so they craft one item and it will level up, which gave them easy Diligence. But Nexon changed this recently, so you can't do that anymore.

I am not sure but I think it still works if you unlearn the Profession, so after you reached Lv10, relearn it so it will be Lv1 and just get it to Lv10 and repeat. Smithing will be the best choice I guess, just craft arrows.

They "fixed" the easy method where you could go between Lv10->Lv11 of Smithing and get 2k diligence every day or so. Max you can do now is 500 diligence/day so it's gonna take months.
