Anything I should know about new Pokemon games?
So I plan on purchasing and new 3ds xl this week with Alpha Sapphire and I wanted to be informed on anything new that I should be aware about. I last played Pokemon White and I recently bought Platinum and have been playing that for a while but I haven't played X/Y or ORAS. I have been watching videos about it on youtube but I wanted to see if there was anything I didn't know yet.

ORAS was so boring and way too easy However, X and Y was awesome!
i personally loved both x/y and oras, though you should get oras because there were new megas that were introducted that's not in x/y
they are still boring as hell
X/Y 's story was boring and had nothing on B/W 2's end game content. After hearing omega ruby and alpha sapphire wouldn't have battle frontier I gave up on pokemon.
Both ORAS and X/Y are great games for different reasons. I personally believe ORAS has a richer storyline and endgame content compared to X/Y, but X/Y is more diverse game (character customisation) then ORAS. There's several good things about both games, and I would get [i]both[/i]. As for prior game knowledge, there's nothing you really need to know. The games have always been fairly straightforward and any Pokemon team works! Just have fun with it!

All the pokemon games are very similar, you'll do fine! The dex nav is fun tho, it's useful for chaining pokemon to get decent IVs, Hidden abilities, Egg moves, and shinnies.
Charizard is cool again because he gets two Mega Forms =]
Everyone on team Aqua will use the same 2pokemon.
um. there are these things called Mega-Evolutions that make certain pokemon OP as hell and others just a waste
the mega evolution only lasts 1 battle and you can only evolve one pokemon per battle
The EXP share works with every pokemon on your team at once. It makes the game easier.
X/Y was one of the best games IMO
