Does anyone know why or how he died?

@Vicariously: In my opinion he shouldn't be getting as much attention just cause he's a star. One guy dead due to drug overdose? Cory is as equal as many other men in this world. People in the military should be getting more attention than someone that gave mediocre entertainment. But hey I still feel bad for the guy, sad way to go the fellow.

@TrillaJays: whether it was peer pressure or not, he was stupid to start it in the first place. If peers try to force you to do something you don't want to, you shouldn't do or that is obviously damaging then you're hanging around the wrong people and it's on you to find new friends. If you let them pressure you you're stupid. If you start by yourself you're stupid. Either way I just feel no pity for such people, whether it's a VIP or a regular person.
I really don't care about the reasons cause there just is no good reason to do something idiotic like that.

Can't believe people are justifying his usage of drugs. He willingly took drugs, knowing what it could do to him, and ended up paying the full price for it. Why should I feel any remorse in that? I will admit that it's sad seeing someone so young perish, but his fame doesn't make him better than anyone else.

May make me sound heartless but I have barely any sympathy for people that die of drug use ...
you CAN say no to it but when you're stupid enough to even START it... idk.. I just don't feel bad for that really..
it's good he at least tried to get out of it but I just think people shouldn't start it in the first place.. and if they die from it, tough luck <_< eh...
@TrillaJays: stopping an addiction is close to impossible for some people and connected with a lot of physical, mental and emotional strain...
People just shouldn't do it at all. Period. If they die from it it's their own fault.
I also have no respect for those that MAKE someone else do something so dangerous... I mean isn't everyone who starts using drugs aware he could die from it? and if not it's not a big loss either to me.. tsk... just stupid.

Can people stop talking about this? There are children in Africa that have starved to death and I don't see anyone worrying about them.

Old news is old. Also, hardly anyone cares.

Ugh, I hope you people realize how obnoxious these kinds of comments are. Yeah soldiers die everyday, and so do cancer patients, drunk drivers, construction workers, etc.
We get it, people die everyday. What does that have to do with Cory?

@TrillaJays: True. But it mentioned in articles, like this one - http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/television/2013/07/14/glees_cory_monteith_found_dead_in_vancouver_hotel_room.html that he had "openly discussed his battles with drug use" and even "voluntarily admitted himself into 'a treatment facility for substance addiction'." So I guess he knew he had a problem, the only thing was that he hadn't solved it

EDIT: The girl above me beat me to it o: But yeah, he tried to help himself.
It's called don't be stupid and do drugs. Rampant drug use is a major problem among celebrities (eg: Lindsey Lohan, Macaulay Culkin, Heath Ledger, etc...). Guess that just shows that fame and wealth doesn't necessarily equate to happiness.
You're so narrow-minded
You don't need to be a woman to appreciate a man's physique.
