Toradora, hate it? or love it?
I just finished watching this thing 2 days ago. It was an entertaining watch and it's actually pretty good despite the amount of hate it seems to get. Well, everything was good up until that stupid ending. It falls under the much dreaded (but I don't mind) Slice of Life, High School setting, Romantic/Comedy genre. It was funny here and there and had some emotional moments. However, anime of this category suffer from the obvious-couple-end-up-together thing but even the title of this anime made it obvious. They had developed one of the other romantic interests very well and the other one is properly set up. But NO! They went with the obvious crap. What a waste of potential because with either of the two other heroines would've made more sense AND it would've been more interesting AND the protagonist looks better with the other two girls than the main girl.
I didn't know that people would cry on this anime until I read about it AFTER watching...well, I couldn't even tell when the viewers are supposed to cry.
I'm almost as annoyed with this stupid ending as I was with Clannad: After Story. So, how did you guys like Toradora?
Despite my seemingly harsh post, I'll give it a solid 7/10.

I didn't like the ending at all, it felt like pointless forced drama. Everything else was great though.

The anime doesn't get a lot of hate at all

Anyway, I forgot to point out that Ryuuji's mom is the best character next to Inko and Ami. His mom's airhead personality is soooo cute. Let's not forget the lengths she would go for to support his son. It just so happened she wasn't well educated to provide a better support for him. With that said, the best point for this anime for me (aside from Inko and Ami) is the relationship Ryuuji has with his mom.

Ehh it was alright.
@Zeff: The hate seems to come from its genre. A lot of people seem to dislike the SoL/Romance/Comedy/High School thing but I personally love it. People calling it the best thing ever = other people reacting against it. I personally enjoyed it but it's not a 10/10 for me. C'mon, Ami is just perfect with Ryuuji in terms of looks at the very least. Height, facial expressions, hair...everything. Taiga is just too short and grouchy to add on to Ryuuji's already bitter expression. Minori is just amazing even when her true emotions crack open. The Christmas arc was cute but that's it. There are a few emotional moments here and there but not strong enough to shed my tears. I'll admit, my heart sank whenever Ami's bitterness and love for Ryuuji surfaces. The ending wrapped most things up for me; in that sense, I am happy. I am disappointed with the potential it could've had. You know, Minori would have made most sense and still deviate from the usual obvious couple thing.
This is why I LOVE DN Angel. The couple wasn't obvious at first but it happened. Although DNAngles was of a lower quality and simple relative to Toradora, I'll also give it 7/10 or even an 8/10.

I really like the sound track and watch a few of the emotionaal scenes, I couldn't really get into it though so I stopped watching it pretty earrly on

That's all opinion. Personally, I found it enjoyable to see how Ryuuji goes from liking Minori to Taiga. (And I think Ryuuji looks just as good with Taiga as he would with either of the other two)
3. I cried a bunch of times while watching this. If you didn't cry at any point during the Christmas episode(s) then I don't even know.
4. I thought the ending was fine. Wrapped everything up okay enough for me. 10/10 from my end. It's definitely one of my top favorites. Maybe I'm just easy to please? Lol.
