Any Mechanical Pencil Enthusiasts/Collectors out here?

Not a very common topic, but are there any other basilers who like mechanical pencils?

if so, what kind(s) is your favorite and what 0.x width do you use?

For myself, I'm a Pentel Graphgear 1000 0.5 or 0.3 user, but Kurutoga from Uni is awesome too.

@skelorm: yup, especially after I saw what Paper Mate considered as a mechanical pencil, American stationery can be considered the nadir of writing utensils.
Given, there are some noteworthy American makers out there, especially the ones with a fondness for hardwood and custom hand-crafted pens and pencils, but compared to the industries of Japan, Korea, and Germany, the US has nothing great to be proud of.

@xronellx there's no "best" pencil, but by some the Pentel Sharp Kerry p1035 is a good contender. It has high quality construction, more durability than its expensive $50+ counterparts, and a cool, ageless style
for drafting and precision-based works, Staedtler's 925 25 and Pentel's Graph "for Pro" 1000 are my favorites. They have good balance and weight, so you can keep your work to it's finest even for a long period. Build quality is top-notch, there are no extraneous bells and whistles, and lastly they are durable to a fault. The mechanics at my bike shop use the pentel alongside all the other tools they have and it's been working great. I own one of these and it is amazing. Only thing I don't like is the unretrachable lead pipe. The Staedtler was recommended by an engineer coworker and his review was 100% positive, even after using all sorts of pencils for his work.

for general use, Uni's Kurutoga + Alpha Gel combo pencil (I think around 15 USD, I got mine for 800 yen) is really good. Kurutoga technology helps a lot with keeping writing straight and consistent and the Alpha Gel grip keeps your hands comfortable. The only downside is that it's pretty fat, so for a normal No. 2 pencil size, I would go with either just the Kurutoga High-Grade or regular gel version. Also there's a knock version (as in you can just shake the pencil and lead will automatically advance) for Alpha Gel.
If you don't want the wing-dings, Pilot's Dr. Grip is also pretty good imo

I pretty much use a .05 I picked up at the local art store... don't know it's origin, but it's never steered me wrong.

Also, 100 cool points for anyone who gets this reference...
