I was unaware attack was listed on the stat menu. I was getting my value by counting what was on my equips in a very lazy way. Most of my luk is from flat stats, not %luck.

But my word has this thread changed. I just wanted to share my love for phantoms, not get thrown on the defensive.

@whomg: you will out dps a LOT of other classes

considering phantom is top 10, AND get 130% atk, 60atk from buffs, your buffed range will be more than double your clean.
only a few classes can keep up with that

not to mention tons of avoid, mobility and decent def/HP

I'm not going to lie, I like a class who can deal damage. I've put a lot of time & money into these funds and to see it go to waste on a class whose damage will never be good enough to do anything is not what I had plans for.

I get the feeling that the guy may have either exaggerated his range, or didn't count his stats properly because that's 3 of us that all have around the same stats but are so far below his range lol

@ahriv Holy crap I have 124% luk and 515atk, and you still have ~100k range more than me when buffed. Please share your secretz.

OT: I reckon Phantoms are pretty fun to make, their DPS is decent without too much funding, and there's many different ways you can play the class because of the whole skill stealing thing.

I have around 100% luk(just under)
and like 650atk and my range is only 310k buffed at 201 (with top 50 dojo gloves)

considering i have 9% dmg on my carte, no pot on my cane tho

@iRitzbitz: hmm seems like the only explanation, but he must have a load of total damage to get the much more range... I have 18% total damage from my cane and rank 50 dojo gloves already though so 95k more range seems a little high for just having more total damage than me

(1.3)(LUK*4+DEX)(6)(2.3) -100%from cross surge and 30% from priere d'aria-
With 22x%luk you might be at around 6000luk and maybe 1000 dex
(1.3)(25000)(6)(2.3) = 448k range
This is a supposition because I don't actually know how much luk and dex, also you can get link skills and other stuff to increase range

Phantoms have the most attacks out of any job, not 2. Here are a few attacks they have:
Rapid fire, Arrow blaster, Mille, Penombre, Cannon Bazooka. ect
Each attack is used in a different boss/training ground area.
Mille + final cut for gollux's jaw and arrow platter for mobs and gollux's eye.
Penombre for HoH and warrior grounds.
Etc. Each area uses a different set of attacks.

Assuming you were only level 125, you never played Phantom to its true potential. Mille is not meant to be a solo attack. It hits 8 mots total; it's the best mobbing attack in the game.

Phantoms have the best survivability out of all 5 thief jobs in high level boss fights and bossing versatility and ability is among one of the best in the game as well.
But of course, I understand if they are boring to you since fun is subjective.

Woah wth? Can I see a ss of you're things? I have just under 90% luk, with 520 Atk clean and my buffed range is 285k... I'm lvl 202 btw, so I'm not sure why you have like 95k more range than me.

also @kingswill phantoms have the most versatile play style since they can always change skills. You have so many options when it comes to attacks for example 1v1 you can use blaster, final cut+Mille, rapid fire, broadside is ok too. Mobbing you can use cannon bazooka, Mille and final cut, piercing arrow. Honestly, I think there are wayyyy more than just 2 attacks for phantoms there's so much room to change it to your own preference.

absolutely. such fun class, easy to level with holy symbol, extra buffs to steal, with hs/cross surge, i gained about 5-6 levels in evolving lab w/o with only monster population from 100 to 130

I got my Phantom to 125 and never got back into it. I think you'll be feeling the same way about Phantom as your NL soon, but, again..just my opinion. I went on my Phantom a few days ago, did a few PQ's and I just didn't like it as much as I used to when I first made it. I was actually thinking of maining with my 125 Luminous till 200 once I get Zero to 200. Currently I'm 196 or 197 on Zero. Zero's are really fun, and I don't think you'd get bored. I wish they had more buffs though.

I'm switching from my NL. The play style I enjoyed long ago is far from gone, so I'm thinking of quitting it.

@ahriv I've been interested in Phantom's before they came out. I remember watching almost every KMS video of Phantom there ever was. I've played it a few times but never really got past 120.

I have 450-500 attack and less than 100% luck and my buffed range is ~370k with no final cut and no angelic. You'd have around a 600k range i'd imagine. I'd say its worthwhile if you're interested in the job. There are some super fun things you can do with a phantom
