@andeeezyyy even in broa canes are more expensive than claws and whipblades, only daggers are more expensive.
A con for a phantom is that thieves are very expensive and we have a lot of buffs that need to be recasted all the time and without them our range drops a lot.

1st and 2nd jobs are painfully slow

as a 210 phantom, the only con i see is that every time i train, i have at the very least 9 buffs active that I CAST MYSELF.

In my world Faf cane's aren't abundant and they sell for more than a faf claw from what i've seen. Dagger's do indeed cost more, but whipblades definitely are not.
We do have to get a 2ndary card as well, which could be costly if you're making one.

lol not sure if serious at all compare faf cane prices to faf claw or faf dagger or faf whipblade its cheaper by a lot we are the cheapest to fund out of all thieves
we also dont have to buy a katara or extra stars
i can confirm i just quit my phantom and waitied a week to sell my faf cane

pre RED everyone say they sux and no one wants them, post RED ppl are very flickle indeed, everyone dumped the xenon bandwagon to get on again on this one

OT: phanton needs funding to get stronger, cross surge+ aria is a huge boost, indeed they are very fun and versatile, since they came they were my 2nd favorite class, while my 1st one will be forever my Aran (Aran pride!)

It's not weak. My phantom no link skills just character cards/and buffs from fair and the other thing.
And i have a 66k range. buffed

cross over chains double your range so really its 50k

pros:
we're one of the best bossers with arrow platter
its very easy to fund a phantom
we can train very easily (steal HS and a good mobbing skill)
fun to me but thats subjective

cons: % luk is expensive but % stat is gonna cost you either way not even really a con

+ super fun to play

- probably the weakest of the thieves if not the weakest class, in terms of defensives.

Who the hell said Phantoms are weak? They most be thinking pre-RED. They are one of the strongest classes out there now because of cross surge + platter.

Thanks guys I Have a couple Link skills on my Demon Slayer, Mercedes and I already Have a 60 Phantom With a little funding.

cross surge + arrow blaster = who needs funding
my level 200 phantom with link skills, max skills, and a clean 140 empress cane already had 100k range lol

^^^ They are ridiculously fun, but they like all other thieves, archers, pirates suffer from like no defense. I remember when they had a skill that raises their def by 2000. Good ol' days.
